Greg Gattuso confident Great Danes are headed in right direction - Laura Amato of the Record as the coach reviews the past year and looks to the future.

 

"But for as much planning and expecting as he may have done in that month of August, Gattuso admits that it may have all been for naught if the Danes did not defeat Holy Cross, on a last-second fumble recovery and touchdown run"

 

"We're obviously changing the footprint of our program with our recruiting in Maryland and Pennsylvania and Ohio and in the South a little more, ... "but they're also looking to establish themselves as part of the community and that begins, somewhat, with drawing local talent"

 

"UAlbany has been working on several new out-of-conference contracts, many of which are in their final stages, and there have even been rumors that the Danes will open the 2015 season at Buffalo, a BCS-level school.

We cant really comment on that right now but rest assured the scheudles changing dramatically, Gattuso said. This isnt just a step into the CAA. We're looking for games with BCS teams, we have some games that we're finishing up contracts with and hopefully soon well be able to announce those.
