We finished 10-4 and I still don't have an idea of how the team will be come conference play.

Well, I think the only thing proven is that we should beat the teams we are supposed to beat, even on the road. That's not a bad base. Certainly SBU and Vt. had a tougher OOC so that may prepare them better than us. Our big guys are a nice surprise and obviously Cremo is a big bonus. Winning while Hooley figures his game out (I think he is almost there) is also impressive. Free Throw % going in the right direction.

 

It seems we always have difficulty with a good press and this year is no different.

3 pt. % is a head scratcher - little chance of winning a tourney game without that clicking

This. We're not consistent. I'm confident we'll be a top 3-4 team in the AE but I'm still worried.

Agreed with the above...but we should crush UMBC.

Jarius Lyles, former top 100 VCU recruit was just eligible four games ago and has averaged almost 27 points per game.

I'm assuming there will be quite a few folks behind the UMBC bench to see the freshman from Lake George, Wincowski -- averaging 1.3 points in 13 minutes a game. He sat all kinds of small-school records in the area last year. Yes, we should win, but I always worry about us shutting down a prolific scorer, especially from the outside.

Zach Bye seems to be doing an Scotia Basketball event at the UMBC game. Getting all those who rooted for Joe to come out to the game w/ a ticket deal. Hopefully get some new people to the game especially with the students being gone.

Looks like a young streak shooting team = Jarius Lyles scored 21 pts in the few minutes to almost take out NJIT who we only beat by 1pt. Better get to the hot hand quick!
