Record story on drug testing at UA

wow...cant believe they did that story now. We got tested even when I was there during DIII (here and there kids were tested). Random testing is not unconstitutional in school setting...there is a legitimate interest in keeping the playing field level. Unusual is that this is considered newsworthy.

"I didn't think it was that big of a thing," said the 6-foot-4, 290-pound Swicicki, a native of Levittown, and now an assistant coach at Hudson Valley Community College. "The NCAA usually conducted testing at the end of the fall and the middle of the spring. Nobody failed because it was very important not to."

 

I think they may have taken his quote out of context. Let's hope the reason that no one failed had nothing to do with the testing being in the off season or because it was important not to - I hope they didn't fail because they weren't using.
