The dude straight up took a knee.

To be fair, wasn't he on his knee before he got the ball? Doesn't he then have to get touched down? Otherwise how come a player who catches a ball by accident on his back can get up and run?

This seemed like an arbitrary call.

Two of the worst defensive plays I have ever seen.  Maine fumbles near the goal line and number 0 tries (unsuccessfully) to scoop it up.  Every kid from Pop Warner age is taught to just fall on the ball and cover it up.  Then on the Maine touchdown Albany jumps offside and the their defense acts as if it were motion and stops playing.  Easy TD pass.

I agree with the second, but not necessarily the first. When they showed the replay it looked like that was his only play as his momentum wouldn’t allow him to flop on the loose ball. Splitting hairs maybe, but I’d give him a pass.

Jeff has NO touch so far!

It’s also difficult to pass against this press coverage.  Similar to last year - he’s dependent on his receivers creating space and they’ve not done that yet.  It’s harder to throw the underneath pass like he did against New Hampshire because the defenders play so tight and it’s also harder to throw the longer pass because their corners are physical and athletic.
