Playing UMBC brings back a bad memory from last year, when we went to their place and lost to a then (I think?) 0-13 team. Watched the game on TV in disbelief for 40 minutes. Ladies beat them at the Sefcu and of course went on to do great things. But that was a shocker. Anyway, hoping to go to 3-0 tonight. And looking forward to a nice ceremony for Helene to reward her for a 1000 point career.

Anders and Caroline (dad and mom) will be staying up late to watch the game back in Sweden.... and the ceremony

They continue to impress. Cooper is relentless inside. What a player. There were a few too many easy drives and layups for the Retrievers at least early on. Again, coaching, adjustments, timely time outs and talent won. When they get their feet set on open threes they shoot lights out. Fun to watch.

The Retrievers had an impressive 1st quarter however, there was no panic in the Great Danes.  Kayla Cooper surprised the Retriever by her relentless effort to score when under the hoop.  Further, smaller rotation of players last evening and Lucia had only had 7 minutes, in part to guard the outside better.  Last evening, Lilly Phillips was 1 of 2 for three when the Danes needed a score.  Lilly impressed me with her movement with or without the ball.
