I made the logo that used to be used by "The Purple Nation" blog (for any of you that remember it) with a more modern/hip font...when I get home I'll see what I can do that isn't a direct copy of Danefan's work.I'm thinking something like: Great Dane Nation Your source for UAlbany Sports Or something....along with our logo. -

We are gonna need that in a higher res then that...otherwise looks solid. Agreed. I don't have any graphic design software on my work computer. Made that in Publisher....... Ilko...if bored, polish this up... If you want, I can send you the PSD file. I'm no pro with photoshop, but this was done in CS6. Now that I've shared it here and not looking at it from within PS, I see there is some 'white space' near the outline of the state, etc. Maybe you can do a better job of cleaning that up. Awesome video.

Do we think this guy is going to be better than Will Harris? He also came from a BCS school and was big. But, (and I was a new fan back then), if I recall...he was frustrating to watch at times.

UAAAAAA UA UA UAAAAAA UUUUUU AAAAAAA UUUUU AAAAA Here's to next year! Hopefully Enema is a Suero type difference maker on offense for us. We need a go to player that we can depend on, like a Suero, Ambrose, or Wilson.

UA - NCAA bound...WE ARE CHAMPIONS!
Eli replied to Clickclack's topic in Winter Sports-Danes Hoops, Track
Man, we used to score 100? Dang. lol. -
This. With Football moving up/new stadium, the Nano facility bringing in it's own variety of smart people, businesses, school recognition, and both basketball programs (as well as track and lacrosse) doing great...UAlbany is on the upswing. Pretty soon, having that name on your resume is going to be a pretty good thing.

With regard to the article on the Coach's wife getting hit by a bottle, Coach handled that situation with grace and stated the right thing insofar as the incident with the bottle throwing reflected the behavior of 1 out of 3,000. Unfortunately, such behavior is not the product of 1 out of 3,000 UVM fans. In 2007, a Vermont fan came on the court right after the buzzer sounded as we were rushing (and already on) the court, and that Vermont fan "drop kicked" and assaulted our mascot. It was violent, aggressive, and in no way playful. It happened right in front of me. If that happened at UAlbany, the student would have been arrested by the police. So perhaps it's just 2 bad apples? In my view, Vermont fans outwardly exhibit the most passion (which may be different than possessing the most passion) of any school's fans in our Conference (honorable mention: UMBC's diehard fans). So, one will see the best of fans at a UVM game, and it logically follows that that one will see the worst of fans also at a UVM game; to wit, where there is high passion and emotion, the best and worst human behavior can usually be found. To be fair, I generally have not heard much explicit trash talk from UVM fans. However, I do believe that one UVM fan purposefully screamed in my ear as loud as she could yesterday (to the point that it was physically painful), and I perceived it to be intentional and directed towards me (My passion got the best of me, and I wrongly responded in kind a few minutes thereafter). I am not trying to be overly critical of Vermont fans (I love their passion and relatively unwavering support). The purpose of this post is to opine that they are no better than the rest of us. This goes to both sides. I was watching on TV and I believe both sides were chanting BS and A-Hole at the refs at points of the game. This is classless, IMO. UAlbany fans (if I saw/heard right on TV) should be ashamed of themselves.
