  1. Ha, well hopefully we can keep with tradition. On another note, Tribal. What's the deal with posting on CAAZone? I signed up and activated my account, but cant post anything. Emails to the site admin have been ignored.
  2. For reference: the home side, with chairbacks in the center, hospitality suites up top. 6k seats in phase one. and approximate full build out to 25k
  3. Sponsored by Bogies....at WT's Stadium at Bob Ford Field. I like where we're going with this. And the TU might even send a reporter... LOL...no, by then the ASP will have exclusive rights to UA newspaper coverage.
  4. Sponsored by Bogies....at WT's Stadium at Bob Ford Field. I like where we're going with this.
  5. Sounds like dead air. Is the station broadcasting anything currently? The app seems to be connecting to the station fine.
  6. FYI, you can stream WCDB on your computer or iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, etc via the tunein app. http://tunein.com/radio/Albany-Schenectady-Troy-r100064/
  7. In 10-15 years when all the major construction is finished and all the new trees and plantings are grown-in and mature, the campus will look really great. I'm glad they finally realized how important that is. When I attended, the grounds were a dump. They barely maintained it. Cant have massive concrete buildings sitting on top of dumpy grounds and expect top-tier students to want to attend and stay (and amazingly they do...just need more of them!)
  8. No, it's that windowless services building south of the Alumni House and the health center (which is apparently going to be gut renovated soon too).
  9. New data center renderings unveiled: http://www.timesunion.com/business/article/UAlbany-unveils-data-center-3808410.php#photo-3358387 What is the next major project? The campus center addition?
  10. Agreed, horrible. Looks like it was thrown together using GeoCities, circa 1998. It's cluttered with advertising too.
  11. The university posted a cool video of Liberty Terrace today. Here is a link: http://www.albany.edu/news/27897.php Of course, plenty of comments on Facebook from naysayers who are upset that *HEAVEN FORBID* the school spends money on anything.
  12. One of the areas that needs the improvement the most is the podium/main fountain area...I'm so glad they are redoing that entire part of campus, new windows, new and improved fountain etc. Agreed....it's a nice upgrade too. I like how they're putting greenery in the corners: Lots of pics of the ongoing construction at this site. It's pretty extensive! http://www.albany.edu/facilities/fp/watertower.html
  13. Thanks for posting those pics! Liberty Terrace looks awesome. The university is doing a great job with all of these campus improvements.
  14. Most likely they are replacing the games with other programming that generates higher ad revenue. Did UA pay to be on Fox? Maybe but it would be unusual.
  15. A very good point. We need to this level of facilities even in FCS. I hope the Giants make facilities a non-negotiable requirement and the state relents. That would be the first tangible outcome outside of some air conditioning. I hope the Giants force the issue but don't get me wrong, photos of a very full stadium watching the Giants would be good for us. Photos of a very full stadium for any event would be good for us. It gives us an argument to expand to a reasonable major FCS level facility. We'll see what plays out for the year. Considering the NEW YORK Giants play in NEW JERSEY, the least NYS can do is pony up a few mill to keep the Giants from abandoning the state completely
  16. Can't disagree with you there. But if someone else wants to pay for it, we should do everything possible to make it easy on them. 2nd that. The Giants mean more to Albany and the surrounding businesses than the university, and I'm sure they can cough up a few million to fund an indoor facility.
  17. copy/paste/change logo http://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/2011/lsu-nike-pro-combat-uniforms/
  18. Once the foundation is laid I'm guessing it will go up pretty quickly. On a side-note, Texas > * (this is a high-school stadium!) http://www.lipstickalley.com/f75/what-60-million-high-school-football-stadium-looks-like-421659/
  19. If Delaware can make a hen look badass, we can make a Great Dane look badass too
  20. Yes! Something like that. Always like the giant paw print from back in the day that we basically stole from Clemson
