1. It is plenty fair to UAlbany, great NCAA coverage for the Danes last year. 16972 Two points, first we were the only local team actually PLAYING in the NCAA's so they had to cover us. Second, that's like saying that the new york media gave fair Mets coverage after the Yankees lost to the Tigers. Anyone in the metropolitan area can vouch for me that for the next three days the only stories talked about were "will Torre go", "should A-rod go?" meanwhile the Mets were still going. Sorry if i ranted off topic, i am still in mourning after sitting at game 7...pitchers and catchers in 3.5 months!! and I have Great Dane hoops to get me through the long cold winter!!!
2. I second this motion, simply trying to get some insight into the plan, I would trust Coach Brown with my unborn children!!!
3. So would this make him the next Jamar Wilson (if that is possible?) Being that my understanding of NCAA eligibility is slim to none, when and where would this guy fit into the plans?
4. I think that people here need to do two things SHUT UP AND GROW UP!!!! The fact that I got halfway through this thread and there are underhanded insulting comments comletely devalues what has happened here. Please stay on topic, and if you have nothing new (or nice for that matter) to say then dont say anything at all! I for one will reserve judgement on the alleged victim, alleged attackers and alleged posters on this board until the dust settles and facts are straightened out!!!
5. So we waited all this time for the conference to schedule some TV games so that begs the question...where is the TV schedule?
6. I got the alcohol covered, we get along quite nicely. As for reading, why should I bother when I know that I have you guys to do it for me...my forte with Great Dane hoops is more focused on vulgar chants and mooning the Vermont bus right before the AE championship!!!!!
7. Probably because Siena is last on the totem pole of priority at their "home" court in the Pepsi and the Pepsi staff would rather work during the day and take the night off so they force Siena to schedule it during the day!!!!!
8. Could you imagine if we got a 7'+ young Yao Ming to come play at UA because of this trip?
9. And unless my basic math skills have left me that is only a 540, it was one and a half complete rotations (360 * 1.5 = 540) nonetheless still an incredible dunk, maybe that is a preview of things to come in the RACC this year!!!!!
10. I got your back there Bob, there is nothing more that I love then to shoot down the senseless dribble from Siena fans. On some really bad days at work I find myself searching the board for a Siena fans comment knowing that if I read it (and respond as I usually do) I will remember that my life is really not that bad and I really am smarter then I feel at that moment....just remember life could be a lot worse, you could have been raised an $iena fan!!!
11. Knowledge is a good thing. Keep reading the Siena board!! 15151 That seems like an implied oxy - MORON....in order to gain more knowledge i would think that one should AVOID the Siena board as it is generally filled with more fiction then fact. The posts on that board tend to resemble some of the posts made is this thread where Siena fans continually insert there feet into their mouth....which leads me on a tangent to another comment If the Siena fans have gotten so comfortable with fitting their feet in their mouth I would logically conclude that they have small feet. You know what they say about guys with small feet.....
12. I saw the last line of his article stated that drinking is prohibited on campus. Is that a new rule? I know when I was a student all of 3 years ago Indian was the only absolutley dry quad and all other on campus housing could have alcohol as long as the person was 21 and there was not an excessive amount. Like when my 21 year old roommmate tried selling to the RA that the 3 18 packs in the fridge were all for him and not me and my other underage roommates (FYI...that didnt go to well, I was supposed to attend an AA meeting but I blew it off) Anyone know anything of this new rule? Or is the TU just misstating their facts again?
13. Well I hate to be the one to state the obvious but the school's alcohol policy is broken probably on a daily basis as one who is guilty of sneaking beer onto Indian Quad back in the day. The bottom line is that no one got seriously injured thankfully and that the adminstration has to keep a better eye out for these things.
14. I think that would be a shame.....I think with the growth of our team we would want as much seating capacity as possible. And being that the students generally end up in the bench seats I would hate to see students turned away because there was not enough seating due to the possible seating changes.
15. Patch, As anyone who knows me can vouch I don't give a flying Siena what anyone cares about me or the UA Program, all that matters is my support for the program. I was simply trying to point out the lifes little ironies just for some laughs. I am sure by tomorrow Tony will have censored those posts so that nothing on that board resembles a compliment towards Albany.
16. Exhibit A, B, C and D...maybe my mom was right, I should have been a lawyer!!! "a team could emerge from NEast and/or AEast that are very good this yr with a high rpi" - Siena Arcatech "Besides Albany UNH and Vermont, provided Lonergan doesn't scream all his players away, should be respectable. " - mr. siena "I agree we should continue to play Albany. It’s a fun game against an improving program" - Siena Tony "True the home OOC schedule won't be great this season but it still might be pretty good with Hofstra (potential top 25 team) a solid Albany team" - MTS There are 4 out of a total 17 posts that point to Albany being good competition this year. It sure is a different tune from a few weeks ago, where Albany supposedly sucked, had no recuriting class, played in the worst conference in the NCAA's and in the great words of Siena T "most likely will take a step backwards next year." Meanwhile this week Albany has a "improving program."
17. I think the even funnier part of their thread over there is that suddenly Albany is a decent team that has a lot of potential because it would make them feel as if they don't have such a weak OOC schedule. All I can say is DUH!!!!!! How long have we been talking about the potential of this years team and the challenge it could give to almost any team in the country? I guess sometimes short term memory is a good thing because I am sure most Siena fans don't remember only a few weeks ago bashing our recruits, our program and our potential. So to quote Chris Rock, "They spinnin!!!!!!"
18. I couldn't agree more, and the better team is the one playing "meaningful games" on the second Thursday in March, televised by CBS. If making the tournament last year meant we had to lose to Siena to get our heads on straight then we are better off for it.
19. I guess I got caught up in the moment....
20. Olddog, Perhaps it is me that should be apologizing....I understood your joke and tried to add on to it, apparently not very well. I was merely poking fun at our friends the self-proclaimed "Jewel of the MAAC" for their recent scheduling of a home and home with NJIT. Oops, sorry about the misunderstanding.
21. Didn't we pick up a home-and-away with NJIT? 14808 Clearly that is a good strategic move by any D1 team. Why not give a first year D1 team a home and home? Isn't that what the crown jewels of the NCAA doing?
22. I seem to recall Tony the Greek slating Siena as 7-10 point favorites over here not too long ago 14804 But as usual you must take his comments with a grain of salt. The source of the information is always a great indication of it's relevance and reliability. I will let you be the judge of the 7-10 point Siena favorite source.
