I'm probably not the right person to ask. I will say when you see a D1 jump shot in a high school game it certainly stands out.

Yeah, sorry about that. Didn't mean calm anyone down. This loss sucks. I just don't panic as well as I used. If Hooley's injury is serious that might change. -

Embarrassing loss. Many of the comments tonight are similar to those after the loss at Maine last year. To be expected I guess. -Agree with those who thought Sam probably shouldn't have played tonight. He was better than I thought playing with one hand but he would have been better off shooting free throws with his left hand. -Started milking the clock early. It's worked a lot of times but didn't work tonight. We didn't play good enough defense to employ it tonight. -Not much poise in those last few minutes with a group of seniors and upperclassmen on the floor. -

Nobody is talking about Ede? 8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. -
Went to Scotia tonight to watch Cremo and my newly adopted team, the Scotia Glenville Tartans take on Queensbury. Great to see some UAlbany sweatshirts throughout the crowd tonight. For curious UA fans it's worth the trip. The Tartans are really well coached and play smart basketball. Not a very competitive game tonight. It was approaching a 25-30 point lead for the good guys at halftime. Looking forward to watching them for the next year and a half.

Losing Devlin is rough, seems like he'd be the natural replacement for Sam Rowley. If nothing else this is a chance for some other guys to step up and get some confidence and experience. As much as it stunk to lose Hooley for those games last year, it gave minutes to Gary Johnson who took the chance and ran with it. -
Same here rooting for both teams and got to see both on the road this weekend I was frustrated from seeing a 30 point loss to a fellow conference mate. Good thing I managed to show some restraint by not posting the rest of the narrative that I had written. You were not alone in your frustration, there was plenty to go around at Patrick Gym on Saturday night. No restraint necessary. I do think you forget how shaky the women's team looked when Megan Craig was out for those games. Great to have her back now.

I see we're back to the "women vs. men" narrative from last year. I admire the consistency but I'll still be rooting for both teams.

I thought Levan might have been that guy yesterday. Honestly, I'm amazed he made it through the game with some kind of altercation. It was clear he was ticked off and I was glad he responded that way.

In more bad news from that game, Puk has a leg injury which we knew and Sam Rowley has a sprained wrist.

Didn't really expect to win this game but hoped for a lot better than this. I've seen us win up here twice in the regular season in 10 years and we actually have won more games at Patrick than anyone else left in the conference. The "new" rules were nice, going to line was nice, but that is obviously over now in conference play. We got bullied, injured and didn't adjust. The only thing I saw that I liked was Ede playing a couple of minutes and the fact that Levan got PO'ed and played with some fire, if not well.

Thanks JRUGGS. Not such a bad drive after all. Foggy was about it. Not enough to keep me from enjoying some Heady Topper.

Well done. Both from Schenectady if I remember correctly. Barnhill was a transfer from...Niagara?

I missed the bus but will be in Burlington. Hopefully we have a good showing. Maybe you guys on the bus should watch last year's championship game on the way up.

More on the Cremo commit today in the TU.

ESPN says 2100, however official that is. Everyone seems to stay until the end and finally make a little noise even. We were lucky to get the game to overtime. Tonight was wrenching. Tomorrow morning we'll wake up and be 2- 0 in conference, that's probably all that matters. -
Like this commit. Sounds like a Will Brown-type player, a hard worker. Great to have a couple of local guys on the roster in a few years with Cremo and Stire.

I liked this from the TU blog this morning: -
Supposedly we have offered Joe Cremo from Scotia.

MBB vs. Hartford (1/04/14 7:00)
Dane Pound replied to UAalum72's topic in Winter Sports-Danes Hoops, Track
Hartford has played pretty well their last couple of games. Last year Puk did a good job on NwaKamma. He got his points but had to take a lot of shots to get them in both games. Rebounding was our big key and probably is again this year. -
Not a terrible loss today at Hofstra but this isn't the team I thought we'd be after beating Marist and winning and Providence. On the bright side, looking at the conference we still should be OK.

Not unhappy with this game, followed mostly on twitter but I may watch the replay on ESPN 3 later. One thing about the bench. We've been pretty close in pretty much every game this year, win or lose. I've felt sometimes a blowout (I'd prefer a blowout win) actually helps the bench guys with a chance for extended minutes. As ugly as it was to watch, I thought the blowout loss to SB last year really helped Gary Johnson. It was the first chance he had to get big minutes and some confidence in a game situation. -
Story on Wheeler Baker. I liked the parts about his off-season workouts and desire to improve. Trying not to get over-sized expectations for him but looking forward to seeing him play in person.
