A couple of game stories from Pittsburgh. I didn't realize Duquesne Coach Jim Ferry recruited Will Brown at one point. Also, it looks like we might see a lot of zone tonight. I'll be watching Coach Abe and The Machine perform at Sefcu tonight. Hopefully they'll have the men's game on in the HOF room if possible.

Timing is weird. You don't think of this happening mid-year, at least for chasing another job. Two things I hope it's NOT: -Health related -A Binghamton-type scandal. As a fellow SUNY member we do not need another one of those. The speed with which they pulled all his information off their webpage makes me worry about issue #2.

I've liked that the pep band has been noisier, more vocal at games this year. They have a cheer for Margarita Rosario this year and make the game fun.

Probably a little too optimistic but I was hoping to see a vote or two in the women's top 25 this week. Marist was getting a couple in last week's poll and I thought maybe we could inherit those votes. Not to be.

Just a minor point but I don't understand the 3:30 start times in November. Later afternoon or evening games are great in September or October. Once the clocks change I think the games should go to 1 PM starts. I don't really care for myself. I have a hat and I'm not afraid to use it but I think a lot of casual fans aren't as willing to freeze their Seawolves off to watch a game after dark when it's colder.

Oh, we noticed. I think the reason we called the timeout after first down was because we only had 10 guys on the field also.

In the TU this morning the story was about about how our guards generally rebound well. They didn't yesterday and it's something that hopefully will improve. Overall I think right now we are who we thought we would be, a good front court team with an unsettled backcourt. Rowley, Puk, GJ and Wiegmann all played well against a very good Q front court. If we can get some of games from Puk with 12 pts and 6 boards every now and then we'll be in good shape.

I did tighten the settings to avoid a live streaming situation. Apparently they're a bit too tight and I'll change them again.

No doubt Q is a good team. I'm not sure why we didn't have a PG on the floor toward the end of the game.

Don't really like the lineup at the end of the game. Asking too much of Hooley.

13 offensive rebounds for Q and like Click said, we haven't hit a three in the game yet.

It is nice. Although I'm not sure why they show replays while live action is going on.

December 4th opponent Holy Cross looked pretty good on ESPN tonight. Ended up losing to the North Carolina by 8 at UNC. Had a couple chances in the last minute to make that game really interesting for the Tar Heels.

I haven't been blown away with our rebounding so far. Out rebounded in the first game and barely outrebounded a poor rebounding team in NJIT. Q beat us on the boards pretty badly last year.

On the women's side we recently signed Tiana Jo Carter, a 6'2 center from Maine. Recruited by Maine, UMass and...Marist.

Gary Johnson has been Mr. Fix-it so far this season. Leading the press, get a timely basket and grabbing that rebound off the missed free throw. He had big rebounds at just the right time in both wins. I've enjoyed both comebacks this year but it would nice to stop digging holes at some point. Nice crowd last night, making some noise late in the game. Fun environment.

We didn't play well for most of the game but NJIT is a pretty good team. They shot pretty well and was quick. They won 16 games last year and played St. Johns, Villanova and Seton Hall pretty tough. I liked DJ's game again tonight. He took good shots with nothing looking forced. I really liked how fired up Puk was toward the end of that game. Good to see some visible fire from him.

DP and I decided Wilkin was probably sulking from having lost a $20 bet on the bouncing pony race. That's a tough race to handicap in his defense. I did like that Keyana Williams DQ'ed someone for not bouncing. That has been long overdue. It's a bouncing pony race, there are rules people.

I heard Coach Abe say tonight that Marist would bring for fans into our building than we would. I hope she's wrong on that one.

Didn't realize this was a UAlbany thing but that's terrific. I'm a Mo Bro this November also :}
