  1. olddog, I completelly agree, perosonally I just want to win the rest of the way so we can get the possibly the 15th seed in the dance. Not to mention the reason you pointed out, so our guys can have confidence that we can beat everyone in our confrence. Also, it would only reinforce the point that the road to the Confrence Championship goes through Albnay. Go Danes!!!!!
  2. Is Bing gona host every tourney? That would be crap!!!!
  3. Before I knew this board was here I posted a question on Albany's ESPN board about Brett Gifford. Read the last post. ESPN Thread Webpage The posters name would seem to imply that he likes Duke and that he is also from Missouri.
  4. I'm new here, who is Gorvy and what's his story?
  5. Don’t get me wrong I like John, but who would you sit to play him? Would you play John over Covington? Or Siggers? He certainly in my opinion should not start, as we have better players with more size that can do the job for us. I can’t believe we are having the conversation after the Danes clinch the regular season title. Team FIRST not John.
  6. The crowd was awsome, but during the second half we were running them out of the gym. At one point we went up by, I believe 19. Had Brown not called the dogs off it would have been a 25 point win. I think! I was sitting in the 200 section I couldn't hear the 4 more years chanct but I did hear the one more home game. With the exception of the two students sections there were allot of people with kids and family's at the game.
  7. Hey, Those of you who went to the game, did you notice how well Brian Conelly played. I’ve been to probably 5 or 6 home games this year and haven’t seen him play much. But last night he was cutting and driving to the rim, seemed to have great hands, seemed to work well in the team framework, not to mention tall with long arms. I hope next year he gets to play more and show what he's got. NICE!!!!
  8. The only thing I can add about Iati, is that you can't teach size. I know it's not his fault but he stand 5'10" with this high heels on. I was at the game last night, and right before he got yanked he was completelly out of controll. He drove down to the baseline with no where to go and got stripped of the ball I belive. I think since John came here 3 years ago, he needs to realize that his role changed. He was great in the VCU game he came in late/middle of the second half and hit 2 3's in a matter of a minute or two. He shouldn't be a guy who drives it down into the lane with his size, because I don't think he has the awareness to pass out of there. He is a shooting guard caught in a small PG body. Belive me, I like John but his role has sugnificantly changed since he arrived at Albany and he needs to realize that and not get down on him self.
  9. This is a story I posted in one of the other threads..... I've actually had the pleasure of meeting coach like 2 years back. I have a cousin who plays ball in Ukraine (Europe) and I brought him a video of the kid play. He is 6'6 and incredibly agile just an all around great player with great hops, strong, great shot, just incredible ball handling etc. Coach was considering offering him a scholorship but it turns out that my cousin plays for a college team as well as High League in Ukraine and they get paid. So he would be ineligable to play under NCAA rules. But all through the process coach was an upstanding guy and thats actually how I started following the program. It would be a sad day if he isn't resigned. I met with him 2 or 3 times in his office over a period of 2 weeks or so. He is a great guy. Sighn him NOW!!!!!!

  11. I am also a huge fan. I live locally but never attended UAlbany, but started following the Danes last year. I got so wraped up in this team that I almost forgot my NY Knicks, although their record might have something to do with that. Anyway, someone on the ESPN board pointed me here and I'd like to thank them for doing so. Go Danes!!!
