  1. Biggest thing is it looks like he can beat someone off the dribble. Which is great . Not sure I love the 39.8 percent fg percentage. Also being 6'4 he can play the SG postion with no problem .
  2. I finally got in touch with my uncle and he said the renovation is still in the planning stages but is moving forward. He does not know a lot about UAlbany in general but stated that there is still a major project that needs to be completed before they put the full court press on the sefcu. Could that be the PE renovations? Does anymore know if that is still going on (and what kind of progress) ?
  3. No I dont believe we do. We offered him based on a connection. But I dont believe he has even mentioned us and in my opinion we have no shot. We have had transfers that have been 4 stars. Will Harris comes to mind.
  4. It's funny this was posted. My 2 points of contacts:My uncle who moved on a federal credit union and his good friend (family friend) retired this January. However I asked him right around the time of the stony brook (home) game and he said he would find out. I'll ask again.
  5. Everything I wanted in this game I got. I wanted it to be competitive and I wanted Healy to have a good game. Onto next year. Let's see who we can get.
  6. Would like to keep to close in the second half and I want Healy to have a nice second half. Both things would give the team a little hope in the off season. This team needs every little win they can get .
  7. Yikes. Waiting for the French supporters to say something. He can dunk the ball . That's it . Look forward to the open scholarship.
  8. Next year will be interesting . Was he the team ? Or was he holding the team back? I like Clark more then most. But I can understand people's frustration.
  9. I dont disagree at all . Oven the last 12+ games or more he should have been playing 30 minutes. I know we are working very hard on the trail and you would have to figure that Brown feels the heat. It will be very interesting. It seems we continue to recruit guys with no offers. I'm not saying you cant find a diamond in the ruff but there are over 350 D1 teams. We should be recruiting guys with decent offers attached to them.
  10. I just want to see the team play well tomorrow . A win would be nice but not expected. Just something small to build on. Maybe Healy can get back on track a little bit and we play good defense.
  11. The answer to the topic question is: to recruit. I think they would mix up the staff but Brown is too loyal to do that . They will all go down with the ship. Almost every team this year looked more athletic. I find it hard to believe we can bring some of these guys in. Huge offseason this year. Only time will tell.
  12. Agreed. It's been a terrible season. Maybe the coaches most important off season in a while. I know it's not Brown MO but he need to recuit offense players . There are a ton of them at the juco level . They play with no structure but can put the ball in the hoop.
  13. I know sorry ! Haha. I fixed it . It was auto correcting. (One of my good friends last name is Hensen. ) I would say the system that has taken us to 5 NCAA's. Won 20+ games 6 or 7 years in a row. We will see what happens for the rest of the year . I know the last couple of years were not good. (But remember in 2017-18 we were 22-10, not great but definitely not terrible, then lost cremo and nichols unexpectedly) I think we can all agree this offseason is a big one for Brown and ualbany.
  14. I answered the question that was asked. Please re read the top of the page!!!!! (Name a better option at the 4 or 5 spot. Even in the beginning of the year before all the injuries). I like Hansen . I think that's lost in all of this. I never ever said he should not play. I'm saying he has improved . Does anyone remember his first 10+ games (I know his minutes were sporadic) but they were bad. I would take Hansen right now above everyone as well. It's because he has improved and earned it. Lulka last year played very well for a freshman big. (I know his hands are not very good). He got hurt and was not given a chance it seems. Hopefully he will be a lot more healthy and better last year. Lulka at the beginning of the year was playing better then Hansen. ( I'm not saying he was a better player, I'm staying he was playing better). Of course Hansen has surpassed him and has played extremely well. Through his first 13 games Hansen shot 32.7 percent (remember he is a senior ) That is really bad. He always grabbed rebounds. Defense was average (honestly below average) . This makes my point. He has risen his fg percentage to around 44 percent . That's outstanding given his first handful of games were a disaster. He has played outstanding defense, alters shots, gets rebounds in traffic . Things he did not do at all in first 13 games to start the year. He has bought into the system and improved. I'm hoping the rest of them learned something. I dont wanna beat a dead horse and we can def disagree. But I was answering the question as it was the beginning of the year. I wish more people were as enthusiastic as the people we have on here . That would be great to build our base.
  15. Sure . Lulka averaged 8.7 and 6.5 as a FRESHMAN. Shot 55 percent from the field. I love facts. (Before injury.) He was averaging 8+ and 5 a game before injury. Again please re read my post . I'm not saying he should not have played. He did . I'm saying he was not mismanaged. And backed it up with facts. Hansen has played very very well the last 10 games or so. I dont want that to get lost in the conversation. His improvement and learning of the system has been awesome to see.
  16. Some of you guys are the best ! Lol. U complain when guys are not playing well. You want them off the team. Then you want more playing time for guys that are playing poorly. Thank god some of you aren't the coaches. Lol. MAKE UP YOUR MINDS! Hensens first 3 games he was: 1/8 ,1/2, and 3/12. He was taking terrible shots and was ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS out of postion. His next handful of games he took minimal shots and was playing scared. Of course you want to play guys during the nonconference and that's what Brown did . Played 25, 17,19,21 minutes the first 4 games. AND CONTINUED TO PLAY!!!! He does not have 1 DNP this whole year !!!! HE IMPROVED GUYS. HE LEARNED THE SYSTEM!! He was not mismanaged. I'm not trying to insult people's intelligence, but basketball is more then points, rebounds, and athleticism. Its about taking good shots, being in the right postion, playing defense , ect. If I took every shot in a game I would probably have 20 points , but we would lost by 50. In the beginning of the year Hansen was PLAYING and learning. A message board is for opinions and complaints (and God knows I do both) but damn please dont sound stupid .
  17. Hansen has played very well the last 10 games or so but I'm not 100 percent sure about mismanaging him. He was really really bad the first 10 games. Shot like 25 percent and was out of postion all the time. He has really evolved as a player. In this case it was a good coaching job. Makes me wonder about the other players.
  18. We played well defensively yesterday. Stony Brook was missing their best player and the players thay played the best were seniors. I'm not giving up on next year but let me ask you this: who on the roster next year played well last night, or recently that gives you any real confidence? Rizzuto has played much much better but he is a roll player right now. We have at least 3 (maybe 4) scholarships next year. No playing time should be promised. That's how u need to recruit.
  19. I dont know anything about Lulka. However defensively it was a much better effort. Offensively it was very poor again. Huge recruiting year and offseason.
  20. I know u like Hutch . And I fully understand he is a freshman. I like him too. But over the last 6 games or so he has been a nobody. I'm not saying I want him to leave but right now they can all walk . Edit: I stand corrected. He had a good game against binghamton.
  21. I am a Brown supporter. However I agree something or many things need to change. We played horrible defense today however we started losing when Healy got hurt. You need to have people who can put the ball in the hope. We have Clark. That's it.
  22. Every single player should be recruited over. Every single one. Competition is a good thing.
  23. Hanks is a far better defensive player. Not even close , really not even close, but offensively he is a liability. Hansen is far more athletic and lately far better defensively. I'm not saying I dont like the way French is playing. I'm saying he scored 8 and gave up at least that. He shows effort which is good . But needs to show something defensively.
  24. He has played very well on the offensive end , however he is atrocious defensively. Constantly out of position. But def better offensively (more active). I really hope Healy is hurt. He is also terrible defensively, cant rebound, cant pass. If he is not scoring 20 a night he is a bad player.
  25. I dont think its panic. I think its reality. Cant put the ball in the hoop. Plain and simple. Also I did not want to respond in the recruiting thread but someone said Hansen should have been starting week 1. I will majorly disagree (but in a good way). He has improved a ton. He was terrible the first 10 games. Shot like 25 percent and turned the ball over a ton, was never in the right position . He has 100 percent learned to play in the system and his thriving. Good for him. I'm not the sky is falling guy YET. We need to bring in a couple of impact guys (easier said then done) and I think we will be good next year. I like Clark but Anderson was just as good at his other school (and in Canada) and should replace him just fine. That really only leaves Hansen as a player they need to replace and everyone will be a year bigger and strong. Recruiting will be huge this season. Let's see what happens.
