Hawks are # 52 in the Laxpower computer rankings. To put this in perspective, Siena is #50. Hartford 's only win is over VMI, who is also Siena's only D1 win of the season . By the way, VMI is #55 in the computer rankings. There are only 56 division 1 lacrosse programs. So, we can sort of figure out what kind of a game we will see on Saturday.

It is a conference game and we are ranked #2. This is Hartford's super bowl. They have a lot of young talent to make up for the bad years they had when the school nearly de-emphasized the sport.

Sixteen teams, six automatic bids for American East Conference, Colonial Athletic Conference,

Great Western Lacrosse League, Ivy Group, Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, Patriot League.

First round on campus sites, quarter-finals at Princeton and Navy, final four at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

At-large selection seems based almost entirely on strength of schedule; head to head is a secondary consideration.

I think we might be able to afford a loss to Syracuse, but otherwise we'd better run the regular-season table if we need an at-large.
