Moores Signs LOI MBB

Recommended Posts

The few comments I read about him say he's a "lights out" shooter, which coincides with Coach Brown's comment about looking for a perimeter scorer to complete the recruiting class for this year.

"Moores is an extremely heady point guard who can flat stroke if left alone."

"Robert Moores, who redshirted last year, is a 6’2”, 175 lb guard from Chicago. Moores is a savvy point who can shoot the lights out."

"Robert [Moores] returns to PCC after a redshirt season a year ago. Moores is an extremely heady point guard who can flat stroke if left alone. This kid can really sit down and defend which bodes well for the Beaver’s style of pressure defense. Look for Moores to be an impact player immediately."

Slightly off-topic, but for those who are interested like myself, that same recruit website cited above lists the following commits (solid verbals) for Vermont:

COMMITTED/NOT YET SIGNED (Pos/Stars/Ht/Wt/RR/Video/Hometown)

Joey Accaoui PG ** 5-10 160 - Barrington, RI

Pat Bergmann C ** 6-9 - - Burlington, VT

Evan Fjeld PF ** 6-7 215 - Durham, NC

Garrett Kissell PF ** 6-8 250 - Barrington, RI

Looks like we needed an outside shooter and we got one. He shot around 42% from three last year, would have been good for second on UA just behind Brent.

Marvin Lee from Bing went to Pratt CC as well, one more thing to make that game fun.
