OMG: THE AMERICA EAST IS HAVING A BANNER DAY!!!

Recommended Posts

We all knew that UMBC and Albany were good...but this good?

Albany throttles Loyola, putting subs in and stalling to hold the score to 9 when it could have easily been 12-15 pts seperating the teams.

UMBC is holding on, with 3:30 to go, up 13-9 on the Terrapins of Maryland.

WHAT A DAY IF THIS HOLDS OUT!!!!

the crazy thing is that Delaware or UMBC is going to the Final Four (YUP, ALBANY PLAYED A WEAK SCHEDULE :glare::blink: ). Sorry...I would have never thought that in a million years. Albany beats Cornell, Duke def UNC and Georgtown def Hopkins and the New World Order of Lacrosse takes over...no Princeton, 'Cuse or Virginia in the Final Four...WOW!

It's a final. America East, 2-0.

Yes!

Just got back to the hotel after watching the UMBC game on the U. They got down early , but played well after that. After 0-3, it was 7-5 at the half 11-5 after 3. Number 6 for UMBC had 18 saves and let in 9 goals.

This means not only is UA in the final 8, but UA has beaten 3 of the final 8 teams a total of 4 times. Awesome!

Inside "Lacrock".com is picking Cornell over UAlbany across the board. Any thoughts on that game by anyone here? I don't know much about their team other than the fact that they are supposed to have a solid goalie.

If we beat Cornell, do we play the winner of Duke/UNC?

Cornell looked really impressive the first quarter against Syracuse, they push the ball hard after saves and turnovers. But SU came back to almost beat them, so we may have to weather an early storm. I don't know how much Cornell has had to play from behind this year.
