I can't find many stats but Levan Shengelia had 18 points in a win over the #17 ranked Juco team in the country. I'll try and overlook the fact that he fouled out and took a three pointer - which he hit.

Also, Dallas Ennema has 29 points in his first game of the season.

Game #1

The boys game went to Sheldon 65-48. The Orabs jumped out to a 19-5 first quarter lead and behind a 14 point second quarter by Dallas Ennema led 37-17 at halftime. At the end of the third quarter Sheldon led 53-26 before going on to win it 65-48. Ennema led all scorers with 29 points hitting 11 field goals and 7-of-7 free throws. He was joined by Collin Wolthizen who pumped in a dozen.

It was the season opener for both boys’ teams.

Game #2

SHELDON, Iowa — A big third quarter helped the Sheldon Orabs extend a slim halftime lead into a big Siouxland Conference boys basketball victory on Friday over the George-Little Rock Mustangs.

A total of 10 Orabs scored with Dallas Ennema scoring 15 points to lead the Orabs. Sheldon also received 12 points from Nate Oostra, nine from Collin Wolthuizen and eight each from James Gradert and Tom Brown.

Reports out yesterday that we've offered JUCO PG Dre Mathieu. He's a sophomore at Central Arizona College right now after playing at Morehead State last year.

Interesting that we'd be looking at a PG. I'd thought Fulton would play some PG when he came in addition to DJ Evans and for all I know, Hooley who looks like a PG sometimes.

I thought the same thing. Seems kind of up in the air who can/will play SG next year (not thinking too far ahead..only in terms of recruiting). Both Hooley and Evans seem to be more PG than SG..but both are combos to some extent..I guess. Fulton played PG in high school..then SG at St. Peter's. Most recruiting profiles list him as a PG..not sure what he's been playing in JUCO. I think Page is probably more of a wing/SF..but who knows. And Gibson's a bit of a question mark with his injury.

Dallas Ennema SR Sheldon 12 160 88 55.0 31 14 45.2 51 43 84.3 233 19.4

In 12 games Ennema is scoring 19ppg and is shooting 55% from the floor, 45% from three and a very solid 84% from the Free Throw line (and that's with 51 attempts). He missed a couple of his games early in the season due to injury

Could be an interesting player. I have seen him listed at 6'5" or 6"6". He could be an interesting player especially since he was described (in style) as being like Brian Lillis. If he has half the tenacity and wrecklessness as Lillis we might have a real good one????????
