Are there any other stadiums with a player's ramp like that? Not sure I really "get it". Will they cover it over during game days and make it a pseudo tunnel?

 

The players will run down onto the field through the student section.

Excellent. Thanks for posting...and yes, I believe there will be a Great Dane at the top.

 

Will people be allowed to sit in that grassy area around the tunnel?

 

Not sure but I suspect building out that area with permanent seating will be high on the priority list along with the visitors side. I'm still waiting to see what type of seating goes in on the visitors side as it may shed some light on what the future plans are moving forward.

Yes - the grassy area will be seating. There will actually be concessions out there as well, at least according to the plans.

BTW - I believe the concrete the poured yesterday around that wall is for the railings that will go up. Those are going to be pretty good seats actually....especially for people like me with a 1 year old that will in no way sit in a stadium seat.
