Something is not right. UA plays the 5th ranked FCS in the country and losses by a better margin than Pitt. By the way, Pitt beat up on a ranked Virginia Tech this weekend. That is at least as good of a performance as Stony Brook's loss to unranked Syracuse.

The team we lost to by 1 score beat a BCS team that beat a ranked BCS team.

 

Stony Brook lost by a larger margin to a team that hasnt even beaten any FBS teams. Winless. Zero.

 

Youngstown State has a much better record against FBS then Syracuse does.

Albany up to 121 in Sagarin (still influenced by starting ratings), 19th in FCS, ahead of 22 FBS teams.

Think about that for a second; Albany is now rated in the Top 1/2 of ALL DIVISION I football for this week.

If we have the team we think we do we should end up where we want to be at the end. It would have been nice to grab a ranking the week before a big home game for first place in the conference though.

 

Stony Brook may very well one of the top teams in FCS and might beat Army on Saturday but it's tough to make a case for them being ranked on what they've done this year. Home wins over CCSU and Colgate are the highlight so far.
