Yes hands down. This team would destroy any other team ever. The athleticism and team speed I off the charts.

In absolute terms, of course. Given the scholarships which we never had before, it'd be surprising if it weren't.

 

As to what was accomplished at the level each team played, the comparisons would be to the undefeated 1974 team (9-0); the 9-2 1977 team that beat Maine and won a Division III playoff game; the 9-2 1985 team that won the ECAC D-III North championship; and the 1997-98 Division II teams that were a combined 21-2 with two Eastern Football Conference championships. I think only the 1977 team compares to this one at a national level - the '74 and 90s teams played regional teams that weren't ranked nationally.

Still not ranked in TSN. Not surprising. People just don't pay attention to the NEC ever.

Our drop is closely tied to YSU getting demolished yesterday at NDSU.

 

They dropped from 2 or 3 to 10.

Way out of place.

 

Every team starts somewhere in Sagarin. For whatever reason, the Ivys get a huge preseason starting point. They don't play anyone out of conference except the Patriot league and they sort of become this self-fulfilling prophecy in the computers.

 

I would take us over every Ivy team. Harvard is good, but no where near Top 5 and potentially not even a Top 25.

Danes are 2nd among teams receving votes in the media poll. We're behind Northern Iowa in RV..and Samford entered the rankings at 25. Towson is at 17..with a 2-3 record.

 

Santillo..who votes in the poll..had us at 16.
