W&M Tribe fan here. #1, really glad to have Albany in CAA FB.

I'm in Albany for the weekend - unfortunately because my wife's grandma died and she wanted to be buried in her hometown of Altamont. I had forgotten how beautiful it is here...love this area. Anyway, I know a bunch of us Tribe fans are looking forward to watching our boys play up here and I hope you guys find your way to Williamsburg. Really think you'll appreciate the "family friendly" gameday experience and there's lots to do so make a long weekend of it.

The CAA TV schedule hosed every team except JMU. Go figure. The good news is most CAA teams offer free (UD) or inexpensive live streaming of their games so you shouldn't have to miss anything.

Hope to catch up with you next season.

Funny to see them embracing "SUNY". The exact opposite of the 90's.

I agree though. A national program (whether or not we or they are one) SHOULD embrace "New York" not midsized or smaller cities like Buffalo, Albany or Binghamton.

I am surprised too. Buffalo doesn't need to rally around SUNY or New York IMHO. It is a great university and was a fine college pre-SUNY days as well.

Although I cheer the most for UA, I have a degree from both UA and Buffalo, and I still think Buffalo sets the bar in the SUNY system academically and in athletics. Until we have AAU membership and are in a FBS conference, anyone will have a hard time convincing me otherwise.

Edit: Why don't we play Buffalo in any sports? I wish we would.

We compete against them in T&F - fairly even programs. They only get East for a couple competitions a year.
