Massey preseason projections are out, for whatever they're worth. He has Albany at 5-7, 2-6 (eighth place) in the CAA. 45th in FCS.

 

All the losses, and the wins over Colgate and Delaware, are predicted within a touchdown - most within a field goal.

A 6-6 record or a 7-5 record for UA would be reason for a ticker tape parade through the Capital District. I cant believe Delaware has fallen on such hard times. It seems JMU may not be the power they once were. Richmond, Towson, UNH, SBU (God I hate to admit this) will probably beat us and leave no doubt.

The CAA football TV schedule will be released on Wed. I'm not expecting to get any major games, although we may be the opponent for JMU since its their family weekend and it would be a great atmosphere to put on NBC Sports.

Northern CAA football contingent gets hosed.

Northern schools are all affiliates - never mind the 'CAAFC is a separate entity' line - but that didn't help Bill & Mary either.

 

Didn't seem like we got fair scheduling shakes in the NEC either. Biggest argument for being an all-sports member of a football conference.

UA just announced that the Rhode Island and Delaware games will be on the NBC Sports Network regional telecasts; the URI game will be the featured game. The Delaware game is now listed as a noon start, which will make it tough to make it a day trip with reasonable tailgating.

I'm hoping the Rhode Island game is picked up on SNY and not some other Comcast channel.

 

SNY is available in Time Warner and Cablevision, alumni heavy NYC areas.
