Unfortunately we'll still owe them a game under the current contract. Can't get a new deal until the old one is finished.

Not entirely true. It can certainly be renegotiated if both parties want it to be. If the 12/31 date helps LCC understand the importance of this game to them (on a so called better date) it can't hurt the process

Siena reporting the game will be Dec 13, McElroy says we have a tentative date with no signed agreement yet
