Was going to put in the Conference Realignment thread in the General Discussion section, but this pretty much pertains to Field Hockey.

Both are going in 2024. This should end all affiliation w/ both schools for Field Hockey.

UC Davis is going to need to make a decision about their program, as there are no other West Coast programs. I can't imagine they are going to want to cross country travel.

If I am the AE, I would get on the phone w/ James Madison and Queens University. Both are independent programs and obviously on the East Coast. Lindewood is the only other independent program.

I thought James Madison was a member of the Sun Belt Conference for MBB and WBB, plus most other sports.  My understanding was that this season was the last year for all the west coast teams in AE Field Hockey.

you are correct w/ Madison...but they are independent in field hockey. Sun Belt doesn't do that. Madison makes perfect sense for AE. And while it is from 1994, they have a National Championship in the sport.

Queens University isn't terrible idea despite being in North Carolina (considering it's in Charlotte, very easy to get there for AE schools).

Lindewood would be more difficult, but considering it's located just outside of St. Louis, wouldn't be that horrible. I just think AE needs to try and maintain balance.
