It's gonna be unheard of is what it's gonna be lol. The only kid that's gonna stick it out for years is 11-13th kid on the roster who just wants an education and likes the school.

As much as I dislike DK and his coaching...honestly it's not a problem unique to UA. I think Iona lost almost every single kid, lots of programs are losing 50% of their roster or at least kids going into portal. This is a global problem in D1 hoops. I don't know how this is sustainable. I do think if you are on a losing team that makes the problem worse.

Killings sucks but his being gone has nothing to do specifically with Killings gone but that they changed entire direction with respect to coaching staff. You continuing to beat this moronic drum is one of the dumbest things on this board. They hired Shaka, that's what led to the change not DK taking UA after the previous coach got fired. You point maybe would make some sense if Steve Wojciechowski was still the HC and only Killing left. Enough already with this completely idiotic point. And I don't even like Kilings. He's 34-60 here at UA and no one over there seems to care. 3 years in and it's not much better. Typically if a guy can't figure it out in 3 years or show signs, it's only a matter of time. DK has shown nothing but they won't eat 800k of salary so here we are. Bad hire! Was the right move to move on, not with a coach that needed a training diaper. Brown was 33-47 last 3 years and got run off (last was covid year) and all of his history.

Yeah, we know he can't coach worth a lick. Recruiting is supposed to be his bread and butter. If Thomas goes as I expect he will, what's left? This team will win 5 games next season.

I have honestly never cared less when hearing a kid leave. Talented kid, not sure what happened but super soft. Played zero defense.

My significant issue with this staff isn't that they can't recruit, I think they do well finding talent. My biggest concern and I don't see any progress is DK's inability to coach competent basketball especially on defense. You can have all the talent you want but if you can't coach it, it's a lost cause. Three years in, he's an awful X and O's coach.

Keeping Thomas and Marshall is a must or it's a complete rebuild from a $iena year. Those two guards are good enough to anchor a championship level team. Neely was supposed to be the 3 to bad he did not recover well from ACL. Unclear if he'll ever be the same guy again. Desperately need competent front court players. BTW, I'm a big fan of Taylor the kid they got but he'll be a freshman.
