Class of 2013 AAU Basketball Stock Risers

After a busy summer of basketball all around the country, Iowa Preps takes a look back and names which seniors raised their stock the most overall. Find out who made the cut now!

Dallas Ennema, Sheldon

Ennema is an elite forward who proved what he could do with the Martin Bros. this summer. His team may not have had large numbers but this senior's ability to score made him pickup a number of scholarship offers.

He sounds like a 6'7 small forward. From NBE

Dallas Ennema is a smooth 6’6 small forward from Sheldon (IA) who runs with Martin Brothers. A class of 2013 recruit, Ennema is a superb 3-point shooter with a nice looking stroke. However, he is not just a catch and shoot guy and showed that he does have the ability to put the ball on the floor some and get to the rim.

With a couple exceptions it sounds like we're moving toward bigger perimeter players: Hooley, Lassen, Paige and now Ennema.

I've been guessing this will be a four man recruiting class at least. With Matt Lassen, Levan Shengelia and Dallas Ennema all on board I'd have to guess we are looking at a point guard for the future with the last scholarship.

ESPN updated their scouting report on Lassen...

Strengths:

Lassen is a long wing that is an excellent three point shooter. On the break, coming off screens or simply spacing on the side of dribble penetration and getting to the vision of the passer. Lassen has excellent confidence in his stroke and is not afraid to pull the trigger from deep. Lassen can also score from the mid range areas with straight line rythum dribble pull ups. He will also work to help on the glass and defensively compete on defense with toughness and energy.

Weaknesses:

Lassen will have to add weight and strength in addition to working to be a better on ball perimeter defender al through the effort is present. He will also need to become a more consistent finisher when he gets to the rim in heavy traffic in which he is very capable.

Bottom Line:

Lassen is a versitile wing that is an excellent three point shooter. He has some mid range scoring ability as well. He is a hard worker and is productive on both ends of the floor and as he adds strength expect his production to increase.

I think that should finish up the 2013 class then..right?

Graduating:

Black - G

Iati - G

Guerrier - G/F

Metcalf - C/F

Bringing In:

Fulton - G

Lassen - G/F

Ennema - F

Shengelia - C/F

I wonder what Wiegmann's plans are after this year. He has two years of eligibility left..but at the Meet & Greet Coach Brown said he's on track to earn his degree in May. It was clear that he's serious about his academics..and I believe (?) he also said he's interested in attending Med School.

The early signing period beginnings 11/14..so a lot of this should become 'official' pretty soon.

Looks like the Philly visit wasn't Karonn Davis but maybe Lamin Fulton instead. He committed to UA today according to the AE board. He's a former St. Peter's PG.

GDG looked some stuff up on Lamin this evening....

-Fulton is a 5'9" G from NW Florida St. College (JC). Played frosh year at St. Peter's.

-averaged 8.9ppg while starting all 31 games and leading the team in minutes (29.6) while at St. Peter's in 2011-12.

-scored in double-figures 15 times in 31 games last season at St. Peter's including a 23pt outburst against LIU in December.

-also put up 11pts and 4rbs against Siena at the TUC on 2/3.
