So, I got an email the other day from the school that read as follows: "The Campus Center’s new east addition will open Monday, September 7th! You can view hours for all dining options, including the new east addition, here. Additionally, you can review frequently asked questions about the new east addition and the impact of construction on other dining options here." (I put the links in here so ya'll can read them too)

Yeah that's why I don't travel to games (only reason I'm going to this one is I'm going to be there that weekend for something else anyway). Just gets too steep after 1 or 2 games. My UB friend just won two tickets at his work, so I get in for free and don't have to feel guilty about giving another program money lol.

This is surprising to me because of that one fan last year (who seemed to have a direct affiliation with the program as in knowing people on the staff, etc.) saying that Shanley would make Fiacchi look like a JV QB. Fans in the stands is like text on the internet: not always truthful. Ngachie is a huge surprise. I guess it's true that it means our talent level has increased so much that a kid who was supposed to be THE best LB we had isn't even on the depth chart.

You guys sure know how to rain on a parade.

Anyone know if these games will be available in the NYC area? SNY or other regional channel? online on ESPN3 if nowhere else Yeah, I'll be at a college football kickoff seaford bash at a friends house. Was hoping one of his TVs could tune to SNY with UA/Buffalo game. We will see. Plug a laptop into the TV via HDMI or something. Done.

[Making this thread outside of the other New Era thread as that other thread mostly pertains to the jersey reveal, etc.] How come no one is talking about this? I was on the west coast this weekend so I recorded the Jets game (vs the Giants) and noticed this while rewatching it just now. THIS IS AMAZING!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Best one yet. Amazing camera work. Great quality. Great sound. Great vantage point (following the player running into a play) and then another one with a practice player transitioning into a real game. As a photographer (and someone who also dabbles in videography - check out the rest of my lame channel lol /shamelessplug), this is GOLD. Seriously...I don't know what Benson has been drinking but EVERY ONE that works under him needs to buy gallons of the stuff (special drink from Space Jam, anyone?). No offense to the previous administration, but this stuff is LIGHT YEARS ahead of anything we were doing before. Sorry the quality isn't perfect, albeit my LG G4 did a pretty nice job overall. With the news of posters seeing ads in SEFCU branch's, we have seriously ramped up our efforts to get butts in seats.

Is he willing to split them and say sell 5? I may be interested as I don't think my main UB connection has procured tickets yet (actually kinda mad about that - if this game sells out and I can't get in I'm going to be LIVID. Friendships will end. Just kidding ).

I'm going but not as part of the school sanctioned group (going with some friends who are UB students or alum).

Sharing another story... I got a new UA hat that I've been rocking all weekend. On my flight from Chicago Midway to SeaTac I sat next to a young woman and her significant other. Didn't talk the whole flight. When we landed in Seattle, as we're all getting our stuff together, she turns to me and says, "You go there now or are you an alum?" Turns out she's an alum herself living in Chicago now. Hasn't been back in years but knew of our sports success lately, Hooley, etc. Let's see who's attention I can get with the hat on the way back to Albany today.

Flying cross country today to Seattle. Gonna be reppin UA the whole way there and back.

My thoughts: 1) I like the overall look of the jersey. 2) Why doesn't the purple helmet match the purple on the jersey/pants? DUMB 3) I like the style of the jersey (meaning the way the shoulder color is divided, the stitching, etc.). They need to make this STYLE permanent to spruce up our regular jerseys. I don't like that 'line' (yellow, white, yellow) thing we have on the shoulder pads currently. These look far more modern. A great first step. So if I understand the teasers right, this is just an alternate jersey (3rd uniform)? Not a full refresh of our regular home and away uniforms? Yep, it's awesome to see. Night and day difference. I visited the fountain recently and even noticed more 'posters' for Damian and the athletics on some of the boards. We need more school spirit and stuff plastered everywhere.

Do we know what time this is getting revealed? I also don't want deep purple/dark purple. Our colors were fine, we just needed an updated jersey because our look like what ALL teams had in the 1970's.

Two days? We were in SC like a week later if I recall lol. That shot put Albany firmly on the map of anyone who remotely resembles a 'regular' sports fan (by regular I mean someone who knows and follows sports in a general sense).

Wasn't sure where to post this, but figured I'd use this thread. Got my tickets today. This is new, don't recall every getting a 'welcome packet' as a season ticket holder. It's not 'pretty', but it's certainly a nice 'personal' touch.

I took a look at UA's source code and it's using decent technology/techniques (CSS, etc.) but the code itself is quite messy (I'm not a developer but do write a little code here or there and if someone worked for me who wrote code like that, well...) and the bigger problem is just the images used to 'draw' the page. It's 1990ish Lycos stuff.
