We suck, but we are nothing close to D3 in any way, shape or form. Has he not seen what this school has done lately across ALL athletics? More than Villanova, me thinks. The only thing they have getting national attention is basketball. I've never heard of anyone talk about ANY other sport they have. That poster is a freakin idiot.

I'm going to set myself up for a good day by predicting a terrible 42-10 loss. That way, if we don't lose like that, it'll be a good day. We're not winning another game all year, so I've already come to grips with that. UNLESS, something happened and Bugs Bunny starts handing out 'magic water' before the game (I believe I can fllyyyyyyyyyy). We suck. What I AM looking forward to, is the scrimmage. Can't wait to see some BBall again.

I have all my teeth. See? Says the guy who suggested any young person who wears a non-flat bill hat must have grown up on a farm. While I'd love to see better products in the bookstore..I'm glad there are new and unique UAlbany items in stores in the mall and other non-campus places. Helps encourage those who aren't students, alums and staff to be fans. That was more of a tongue in cheek type comment...meaning anyone outside of the urban centers or possibly even suburbia and you know it's true (only talking about the young population meaning under 30 or maybe 25). Go into Albany High and see if you'll find a kid like that (wearing a hat that has the brim bent so far it might as well be a circle). Now, go into Cobleskill High and see if you can find a kid with a flat brim...more than likely the percentages will be 9 out of 10 one way or the other depending on which locale you visit. Personally I wouldn't look down upon ones fashion sense based on what hat they wear...but that's just me. Different strokes for different folks. Unless it's a Patriots hat. Then I want to punch you in the face.....jk (or am I?). I'm just saying that the majority of todays youth does not wear hats the 'old' way...there is nothing wrong with that. But in order to reach those fans, in terms of selling gear and stuff to make $$$, you need the hats to be more fashionable and NOTHING on the bookstore website says fashion.

I was hoping they'd post it just for the night clip...the drone flyovers in the new ads are excellent. This is the video they played at the game. Pretty much the only good thing that happened.

There are fashion trends relative to ball caps? Really? I had no idea! Yes...hence the flat bill caps made by New Era, etc. They are a big deal with the younger generation of cap wearers. No offense to anyone, but I don't see a younger person buying any of the 'non-flat bill' caps on the bookstore site. EVER. Maybe a kid who grew up on a farm...but any student from a more urban area will not buy those. If we are trying to drive school spirit, etc. by selling such merchandise, we need to reach the millennials first and foremost, IMO. They are the ones, hopefully, who will be supporting the school for the next 50-60 years.

I know, and I'm just stating my opinion lol. As one of the younger (and possibly one of the youngest?) members of this forum who is also a hat wearer, I wouldn't be caught dead in that thing STRICTLY because of that NYS outline. But everyone's taste is different and that's cool. I'm glad there are other options... However... I'm annoyed now since this thread was bumped because once again this just goes to show that our school itself offers so little that third parties are selling our school gear. So dumb. When the hell will our bookstore or whatever get some legitimate stuff in like jersey's, flat bill caps (like these two that we both shared) and not just regular ball caps that almost no young person would wear today due to todays fashion trends, etc. I'm looking at the UA bookstore site right now and a lot of that stuff I'd never consider buying. Bottom line, I'm still shocked the school has virtually no good stuff to buy. This thread just reminded me and now I'm annoyed again.

I guess I just don't understand how we are going backwards instead of forwards seeing as we are replacing Ford/NEC kids with Gattuso/CAA kids. How many kids are left on the roster that were Fords NEC recruits? I guess half the kids should technically be Fords CAA kids (since we're in year 2 of Gattuso, meaning 2 of the classes are his 1 of which being at least kids that knew they were going to be in the CAA)...but come on! This is embarrassing. I guess Ford (due to being much older maybe?) has a much better eye for talent. Bring him in as a special consultant...or something. WE NEED TO FIX OUR RECRUITING. All the kids that were highly touted (Ngachi) a couple years ago are nowhere to be found. Other than the Buffalo game and JMU game, we haven't even been mentally engaged in the games it seems. It's almost like the team saw that we were picked to finish almost last in the conference and just gave up. We've had virtually the same injuries on defense all year...where is the ball hawking defense that was causing 6 TO's a game? Did we even get one yesterday? I'm still shocked a day later. When the punter fumbled the snap (which I felt coming BTW), I couldn't help but laugh hysterically. At that point, 'if it rained, it poured'.

I bet he wishes too...probably would have gotten a chance at this point. Considering it's the day after, have any of the insiders heard anything from Gattuso on what he plans to do? I have a feeling, unless something happens in practice, we are going to lose next week 55-7. Thankfully, win or lose, the scrimmage follows the game.

They ran the ball constantly to the outside yesterday on pitches and bounce outs.

On defense, Clark was the only player worth a damn. On offense, Roberson was the only player worth a damn although at the end some 3rd string back was dicing them up pretty good (not sure who the kid was, number was in the 30's I believe). You can't win when only 2 guys are making plays.
