  1. Thanks Eli. I've cleaned up some of the validating members who had registered with Yahoo accounts. They were filtered out. I also impressed that someone's girlfriend would help their boyfriend get on a sports message board
  2. If Patsos loses to UA and goes 1-3 against us, the fan base will run him out of town. His Sienna career depends on it... Make no mistake, he has the senior laden team, returning most of his starters, team picked and expected to be significantly better then us and favored on the road. Next year, the roles will be reversed as they will graduate 4 all-league type kids, Wright, JO, Long and Bisping. This is a really talented group, especially Wright...next year is going to be rough for them. Agreed, they should be good when they get everyone back. It's funny, their front court should be what sets them apart and both Bisping and JO were recruited by Mitch Buonaguro.
  3. Seriously? This guy is a senior and is supposed to be a leader. 19 min against penn st before fouling out, and then 18 min last nigh before fouling out. I'm not sure when he picked up his fourth on Saturday night, but somehow managed to play 35 min and pull down 10 reb. Ticky tack or not he's avg 4 fouls a game. Just about the number of p/g. Some of it is part of the defensive problems overall. When the other team's guards are getting past our guards there's no one left between them and the basket except Rowley and Stire. The big guys are going to get into foul trouble if that keeps happening.
  4. Not a thing a beauty but I'll take it. Nice confidence building game for Grayson - knocked down the clutch three and then free throws to ice it.
  5. Seems like Brown has been on the free throw line the last six trips down the floor.
  6. It makes no sense to hit Cremo in the face with your elbow. All it does it hurt your elbow and make him score more.
  7. We have a really talented but really inexperienced backcourt. We're going to have nights like this. Hopefully we figure it out.
  8. Not sure. Russell is a fifth year senor who was there last year. He led their conference in assists. Braun is a redshirt junior. Didn't realize how good of a night Nichols had: 23 points shot over 50% 9-17 3 assists 2 turnovers 5 steals We need another guard to score consistently. Oh yeah, and some defense.
  9. We had our shots at the end. I can certainly see why the coaches picked GCU to finish second in their conference. Nichols can play with anyone. Cremo, at times, reminds me of Brian Lillis his senor year when he had to score more. Pressing sometimes but he seemed to figure it out as the game went on. Grayson looked better than he has the first couple of games. I'd like to see him be a little more aggressive.
  10. Wilkins tweeted he reinjured the hammy Bummer. I think Charles has three fouls now. Funny, the Braun kid doesn't look super fast or smooth but always seems to be scoring. WAC preseason player of the year and I can see why.
  11. Looks like Lands might be injured. He doesn't seem dressed for this game.
  12. I have to admit, when they announced the "Golden Apple" thing I thought it was a little goofy. Watching Clark (I think) grab it off the table and run across the field with it was a lot of fun however. No hope for the playoffs. UNH's win and their longest playoff streak in FCS will probably do it. Somewhat disappointed but a seven win season getting to .500 in conference from where we were last year ain't too bad.
  13. I don't have an answer for that. I've liked the way the front court has looked. Lands and Charles (and now maybe Martin-Garcia) come off the bench, look pretty comfortable and really solid. The backcourt has been a different story. Other Nichols and Cremo, we haven't seemed to find a rotation that works yet as far as I can tell. I'd like to see Costa Anderson get more time. Admittedly, the guards have a tougher role as they're trying to run the offense.
  14. I think the CBI, CIT and NIT should adopt the scheduling idea of the bracket buster. Last year, Ohio U. got a home game against us in the CBI. Part of the deal should be that they have to play us in Albany this year.
  15. If nothing else, last night we got to see the debut of Terrel Martin-Garcia who doesn't seem shy about shooting. I'm not crazy about these types of games but early the season with a bunch of newer players it seemed OK to have an exhibition-type game. I hoped guys like Grayson would get some minutes and feel more comfortable but that didn't seem to happen. Hopefully it will soon. See Costa Anderson for the first time I had to wonder why he hasn't got more minutes so far. He played defense with some energy and seemed to know what he wanted to do within the offense.
  16. I'm with you on Grayson. As much as I don't like the Oneonta game, hopefully it's a chance for him to settled in and run the team. I think we'll get better as he gets better. I thought speed-wise, Nichols looked pretty good against a really quick Cincy team. Other than a bad shooting game, he had a pretty good night - 13 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 3 turnovers. I really like his aggressiveness. He might need to know when to dial it down but I hope he keeps that edge. He's fun to watch and just friggin fearless.
  17. Playoffs or not, if we start the season by beating Buffalo and end it by beating Stony Brook, I'm considering it a win.
  18. According to the box score, he was the only one to miss a free throw. I like the way Nichols competes on both ends of the floor. He and Cremo had to do way too much. Hopefully we'll have another guard step up as the season goes on and I'm not totally sold on Andrews just yet. Still, with three new starters, I'll take the split with Penn State and Cincy.
  19. Going from Penn State's freshman PG to Cincy's senor PG (also on the Naismith Award list) is going to be a big difference. Penn State helped us out by being disorganized in the half court offense, Cincy isn't going to do us that favor. I was surprised Penn State didn't really seem to do much different against Cremo and I don't think that will continue tonight against a team that prides themselves on defense. I expect him to get bumped and grabbed and knocked around as much as possible tonight. Still, this is an opportunity game, just like Penn State.
  20. Penn State knocks off Duquense tonight - 82-74.
  21. Some Raffa is OK. Too much is too much. I thought Nichols did a good job late in the game of slowing things down. Considering it was his first start. As for Campbell. His natural positions seems to be small forward. The tough spot for him right now is that is the natural position of Dallas and Cremo who both played awesome tonight.
  22. It's not a bad place to be to win and know you have stuff to work on. For his first start against a tough place to play, Grayson didn't turn the ball over. I didn't see it mentioned before but Lands and Travis Charles combined for 10 points and 10 rebounds. I'll take that any game.
  23. So, lose our senior backcourt and then go out and beat a Big 10 team on the road. Boo-yeah. Will Brown has more Big 10 wins this year than Steve Piekiell Not sure the stats are right but beat them on the boards by 15?

  25. I hadn't thought about it until I read about it but CB's entire coaching staff is made up of guys with degrees from the school they're coaching for. There's only one other team in the country that can say the same thing.
