With all this real promotion, it's kinda sad that the ticket website still isn't working. When the folks on this board who live local buy their tix..do you do it on the site, or call the box office? As someone who's worked on internet marketing a bit, this is terrible for business and I'm curious how reliant on the site you fine folks are.

Squash the Jets again? Can I point out that they split the series 1-1 last year and if Clyde Gates holds on to the ball, the Jets sweep the series? That's my problem with Boston sports fans...no clue/reality how to deal with success. Btw, anyone notice that the ticket portion of the website is down? Last time I checked sales were tepid at best..now its down entirely!. Eek. Hopefully its some sort of new redesign instituted by the new AD (i know..too soon..but i can dream..can't i?)

Seriously though, this is exactly the right hire. A guy from a similar type state/commonwealth school that likely has the same budget issues that UA has, plus its also a newer school that probably doesn't have the fundraising base that the larger campus centers have had over the years. Essentially ODU is a very successful mid-major that is just now taking its step toward major status with its move up in football. This is exactly where we'd all LOVE UA to be in 5-10 years. Of course, the big question is, how much did he have to do with this and how much was the actual AD. Regardless, he's had the experience of being involved in that process and that for one, is huge.

Well, if this guy helped get ODU into FBS, then...we're going to need a bigger boat.

In the Football video about the first day of camp, Coach Gatt mentioned how important it was for this team to not only represent the school but the whole city of Albany as well. Clearly he's trying to engage the entire community, which is fantastic. My question is, with tickets now on sale, are those of you in the Capital District seeing any more extensive efforts to engage and put asses in the seats? I just looked over the seating chart and it looks like there are more than plenty of seats available (granted its about 3 weeks away).

Stony Brook spent 21.1 million and probably needed a heck of a lot more than SEFCU does. So its absolutely in the ball park.

I saw at the Dane Zone is offering a 7 game package for 25 bucks or so. Does anyone know what games of ours will be on ESPN3 or CAA.TV or any other TV or online platforms?
