I love the Ngachie enthusiasm, and although he had a bit of a down game, I have to pay notice to Nicastro. Redshirt freshman; team leader in sacks, third in tackles...he good. Speaking of tackles, how many were missed yesterday? At times it seemed like a scene from one of those movies where 11 defenders jump on the ball-handler's back but he runs into the end zone nevertheless. I'm between Ngachie and Senn being the most impressive youngster that has played a lot. Senn has all the makings of an NFL O-lineman. Very impressive for a True Frosh.

Crowd was disappointing IMO. Prob in the 9500 range. I did confirm that they can't announce anymore than 8500 for fire code reasons. Its hard to get excited when the team doesn't even realize when it has the momentum. Big fake punt and the offense strolls casually onto the field. Zero enthusiasm. I feel like our offense is the Eyor of offenses. Ho hum.

Btw - can we get serious chants going Saturday? 11,000 people should be able to do a very loud UA - UKnow. Home side does UA....student section does UKnow. Does anyone know who the PA announcer is? Want to ask him to slow down the "First down Ualbany". More like "Fiiiirrrrst Down UuuuuuuuAllllllbany". Give the crow time to react to First Down and yell UAlbany.

At least it will be a sell out..... Towson is coming off a tough loss to Villanova. They gave away three turnovers in their first three possessions and couldn't dig out of the hole. Make no mistake....they are good. Really good. national Championship contender good. Without a doubt the best football team we've ever played at home. We need to pound the ground with Osbourne and keep their offense and Terrance West off the field. Towson only ran 11 plays in the first half against Villanova. Keeping West off he field is key. Get a bunch of lucky breaks and who know. Any given Saturday.

If I came to you and told you we had a chance to hire a guy with the following resume, what would you say? Could you find a better candidate on paper? Paper isn't all of it of course, but it's hard to overlook... 9 National Championship appearances over his career (multiple divisions) 1 FCS national championship Multiple CAA titles Multiple all-Americans Alumni including a Super Bowl MVP Don't get me wrong, he's not necessarily my first choice as he's not a Bob Ford disciple, but he's got to be up there on the list.

I think that will be the case if anyone else gets hired other than McCarthy or Christ. Even a Bob Ford guy is going to have the foundation of Coach Ford, but will have undoubtedly evolved along the way as well. Take a guy like Billy Crocker - the DC at Villanova. He's a Bob Ford guy working for a Bob Ford guy now (Andy Talley). I'm sure even he would do things differently. But in all honesty, we would have needed to change the way we do things already even if Coach Ford didn't leave. The Juco and FBS transfers would be the first thing to change dramatically.

Agreed. It feels a whole lot better than any other game this year. If they play like that the rest if the season, I'll be happy. -
Maybe I misread it but it sounds exactly like the same thing we have now. A partnership between the "host" SUNY school and Nano.

JMU was family weekend; They have an alumni homecoming in November. -

FYI this game is on the Comcast Regional Sports networks and will be replayed on SNY in the NY area. CAA.tv will also carry it live and in the Capital Region - TW3 will pick up the live feed. -
I give it a huge thumbs up. 10 years ago I don't think it would have even had a chance. McElroy basically asked the SA to transfer some of their budget to the stadium project. Don't confuse this with a request to increase the intercollegiate athletic fee. That's a whole different process and issue. Good move.
