44 guys listed are transfers into Albany at some point in their college careers.   Only 3 guys are listed as seniors that have been at Albany the whole time, and one of them (Mosier) is actually a transfer from ODU, so really only two. Sign of the times.

Defense will be good - have to develop a little more chemisty but are coming along just fine. The new guys are hitters.................!!!

Offense should not lose a step -  Reece was a one of a kind though!!!  Scrimmage tomorrow to solidiy some positions.  

Don't be surprised if Burkett starts.

Freshman Weber can REALLY throw...

 

Freshman JoJo Uga has impressed at RB - coaches have 5 legitimate choices who will get time I think. Alexander is much improved as well.  Of course Griff and Aden # "0" are both back and look good

Full Back John Dodaro is a stud................

 

At Wide Receiver

Dietz, Burdi, Parker, Wentz are all back -couple of others too -  Seven McGee only 5'8" (Oregon and Jackson State) [was hurt last year] BUT MAY be one of the best we have ever had - a real stud athlete!!!!!!  Jacari Carter who came in as a Grad Trans looks decent too - there are a bunch of sophomores and freshamn who will be good in a year or two.

Forget Jamal Coonery - Return specalist and WR - as is Jacari Carter

As I said the other day, don't be surprised if Myles starts.  Made fewer mistakes.  Has a very quick release when passing and can run - he also made some mistakes, but is still getting comfortable I think.  Trey passes well and can run a little but was missing a lot of passes, under throwing and over throwing.  The freshman is getting more reps as well.

Besides Burkett being named the starter, there were some other interesting comments from Gattuso (they had a live radio show from Casey Stadium).

• Seven McGee is as good or better than Hicks and Easton (I think he said better but don’t remember exact wording). There have been several scouts asking about him.
• Houseman and Dugery are both injured but Dugery is expected back by next Saturday.
• Burkett can do everything that Poffenbarger did

Pretty sure he was a 4 star out of HS and started some games for Oregon as a freshman. Probably one of, if not, the best athletes to play for Albany 

know he’s had some injuries but still should be a big piece of the offense

This is a great news - was really worried we were a flash in the pan but it looks like we're starting to develop as a pipeline school. If these kids are that good, they likely won't be here more than a year or two, but it's the nature of being a school like us - as long as we continue to pump out Kearses' who go to big schools and get drafted, I'm fine with that.
