On his radio show today, Wyland stated it was nice for Siena to lock up McCaffrey but from one of his trusted inside sources was told McCaffrey would not have had shot at Penn job as reason he may have committed so quickly to Siena's offer. I'm sure Siena fans won't be too flattered by his comment. Wyland also stated UAlbany/Siena game would be a sure sellout. It seems like the rivalry keeps building up steam.

I think Wyland fans alot of this fire at Siena intentionally. I think there is a thread about him on the Siena board every week.

Of course last week, Wyland claimed his impeccable sources told him just the opposite. If the University didn't buy his allegiance, we'd hate him too.

Wyland is full of crap. He has no insights on Siena. He should just stick to covering the Danes which he does a fine job at.

 

Fran McCaffery, like coach Brown, signed a long term deal and will be at Siena for a while. Now if he does well sure BCS schools will come calling it is the nature of the beast.

 

He was never going to Penn. Of course, the rumors did, most likely, earn him an even better deal.

 

Congrats to coach Brown on his deal as well.

 

Siena and Albany both have solid coaches and solid teams and next year's game should be awesome at the Pepsi!

MTS, which part of Wyland's statement was full of crap? The part in which he said Fran wasn't leaving, the part where he said it was nice for Siena to sign coach Fran or some other part?
