In the small world of Division I lacrosse, this opens one of the few chances for second-tier coaches (Marr?) to move to the very highest level.

 

 

Hopefully Marr is happy at UA. He has done a great job here.

I didn't expect this move at all, so I searced Inside lacrosse for info on this. The article mentioned that Tierney has a son in Denver who will join his staff and it mentions current assistant Dave Metzbower is believed to be a strong candidate for the Princeton job.

i truly feel there is only one school Marr would leave UA for...and it's not Princeton

Great news. A little more in the paper this morning about it - Marr opts to stay at UAlbany - TU

 

"We've been (ranked) No. 2 in the country and we've got a good shot at being good again next year. I'd like to accomplish my goals of getting to a Final Four and competing for a national championship."
