Looks like he may be going to Temple.......

@AndrewCatalon Exciting time for Paul Layton. Albany's punter receiving interest from Temple, among others RT @PunterLayton Patience actually does pay off

@MarkSingelais UAlbany punter Paul Layton told Bob Ford that he's been offered a full scholarship from Temple.

@MarkSingelais UAlbany football coach Bob Ford to P Paul Layton: "We need to make a decision pretty quickly. Are you with us or not with us?"

Things happen quickly. I hope he stays but good luck to him either way.

The Big East is still the Big East.

The CAA, however will not be far off from the quality of the new Big East (aka the old CUSA). Exposure is greater, but we will certainly have teams in the CAA that will beat Big East teams.

Now that I'm a UA football alum, I just wanted to come on here and thank everyone for the support. It was an extremely difficult decision just to initially ask coach ford about the possibility of doing grad school somewhere else because of everything he has given to me and my family. He understood how important academics have been to me my entire life so he supported my decision. I have had a tremendous experience playing close to home and playing for the danes these past 3-4 years.

Thank you for all the support and kind words. I look forward to checking on the scores next year after all my games! Purple fam.

Best Regards,

Paul Layton
