John was a great, Great Dane, but it sure seems to be a surprising hire in terms of experience. I’ll be happy to eat a lot of crow.

I hope it is a good move.

:(:(:(.  I wonder if academics is the issue. Cannot possibly make that much money in the NLL???? Most players do not even make a living wage and must work a regular job. NLL is more like a second job or extra income. Anyone know the salary range for NLL players? I believe Lyle is/was the highest paid player and even he only survives on his endorsements as far as I hear?????

I know what the MLL guys make and it isn't much at all, but would think that NLL salaries might be a bit better, but not enough to live on. I am sure Coach Marr was courting him, but I didn't hear to much noise around that. It sounds like everyone is back on campus with the exceptions of the guys we knew who wouldn't be back. Sounds like morale is high and they are ready to get after it.

I think so and for all the talk it wasn't a big year for transfers except for ours.  I think the name that was in play was Ryder Garnsey, but he is staying at Notre Dame.

I have said this before, but man oh man when is the SID going to join the 21st century. I know for a fact we have both new coaches on board and still nothing.  Other schools are already rolling out information on their 2019 teams, and while I love my man Blaze, we have a picture of him on the main lacrosse page.

This is going to be a big year for Coach Marr and has to be the most important fall in recent memory. He loses his three biggest impact players, long time coach, a new goalie, has to develop one of the young FOGO's (the other unnamed assistant was a former FOGO), and gameplan for the new rules.

That's a lot on the table.

I agree.  The Lacrosse page is SELDOM updated and we get no information.  I have seen the same thing.  Other schools way ahead and we are still on last years stuff.  Seems like Marr is always hiding information from the public until it basically HAS to be put out there.

I think we are at an inflection point. Who am I to question things given the the run over the last 5-6 years, but really think as a program and an institution we need to up our game. I'll admit a lot of what I am talking about his form over substance, but I think the strategy ought to be to better engage the fan base and alumni and keep the positive momentum  going.
