For the record, the announcers high on Albany.  They actually are quite knowledgeable overall.

Also, for the record...Stony Brook is getting shutout by a not so good Air Force...31-0.  Air Force would be handled by Pitt.  Puts this all in perspective.

So far I like what I see out of VT. Def has some zip. Dev Holmes should be a beast against CAA competition. D is gassed right now. Pitt is keeping it classy so far. I like that.

For those ready to fall off a cliff or destroy the staff, take this as a note.  Since 2013, there have been 25 CAA vs FBS Power 5 games, excluding today.  Only Richmond carries a win, over a terrible UVA squad last year.  The average Power 5 margin of victory in those 24 games was 29.75 points.  Every single school had been full scholarship for over 7 seasons prior to the games.  

In the same time frame, there have been a total of 6 CAA vs FBS wins, and we own one of those wins.

Folks, this game doesn't make a season and we've performed on par with the other CAA teams vs. FBS.  In fact, you can argue that aside from the INT setting up the TD and the kickoff return, we've played relatively well for the last 50 minutes of the game.  Zero points in the 2nd half given up by the Danes.

I personally think next week is the most important game of the year.  URI played Delaware tough...but they didn't have a great offense.  If we can forget today, put up points against a stout D...and stop URI...we should be poised to be good this year.

VT carries himself with confidence, maturity, and toughness.  I like what I see.   

Remember, this is a team who beat #2 Miami at the end of the season.  A ton more depth.
