Bubble deflated

TU reports the Bubble collapsed at 8:25 pm Thursday under the weight of the 22” of snow. U is getting estimates for restoring it. 
Story says it last collapsed in 1986. Not sure how many times they’ve replaced the material but I thought it had a lifespan of 8-12 years

Happened my freshman year.  Forced us (track team) to practice in the tunnels.  Running around students, cushmen, and garbage with the temp ranging from 0 to 80 degrees.  Good times.

Wonder if they could use this as an excuse to totally enhance rather than just restore it.

With the current budget issues with the sports budget and the NYS budget....getting the "Bubble" fixed may be a stretch.....

I say don't even try. Save the money and put it towards a FIELD HOUSE.

yes, i saw the new SBU indoor facility (just from outside) and it's a pretty cool structure. Definitely looks impressive to prospective football recruits. We need that.
