  1. Fans will be ecstatic but they want AD Heilbron fired too. Kinda like UA fans wanting GG fired along with Benson for many years.
  2. Obsolutely, another win and we should be seeded, have a 1st round bye, and get a favorable matchup with a team from a lesser conference at home. Unlike 2019, where we did get a easy matchup vs CCSU, but then on a long road trip to Montana St., a seeded team. Need to play better vs Monmouth though, a bit sloppy today.
  3. Not that I expect this to be the case for UA this season, but the AE regular season champ(any conference for that matter) does not get an NIT bid any more if they lose their conference tourney: Regular-season conference champions are no longer guaranteed spots in the National Invitation Tournament. The NIT board of managers tweaked its qualifying rules for its men's postseason tournament Friday, saying regular-season champs who do not win their conference tournament and are not otherwise selected to the NCAA tournament will not receive an automatic bid to the NIT.
  4. And if you read the SBU message board, we could get 11 of us together, play both ways, and beat the Seawolves, lol. They are furious with the AD for not firing Priore yet.
  5. Is it really 28-3? ESPN says so but looking at boxscore and play by play, adds up to 14-3. Missing 2 TDs. Slowly updating, now 21-3, lol. Looking great. Damn shame to lose last week with the defense having an off week.
  6. We are picked 7th in the coaches conference poll, UNH and NJIT picked behind UA, Vermont picked first as usual, UMASS Lowell a close second. All-conference team is a bunch of seniors and graduate students. Guess Beagle will have to wait his turn.
  7. OT: U of Miami had a 20-17 lead vs Ga. Tech with 30 sec to go and didn't take a knee, sound familar, and of course fumbled and lost on a 44 yd TD pass with 2 sec left.
  8. Looking good so far. BTW, we always have issues with the product on the field the past few seasons, but the Brook have fallen to new depths lately, down 56-14 half way thru the 3rd quarter to Maine
  9. WTF! Fire Gattuso for that play call. One min to go, MSU with 2 TOs, at worse 4th down with 15-20 sec to go and we are in the shotgun???? Should be Poff under center and a keeper or even a knee would have been safer.
  10. Getting earlier at many schools. My years at UA, 1979-83, we moved in Sat or Sun of Labor Day weekend and classes started Tuesday. And depending on the Jewish calendar, we started getting the holidays off within 2-3 weeks.
  11. Just released the schedule for upcoming season. Will be a non D1 team added at home. Nine on the road, four at home, two neutral site. Men's Basketball Non-Conference ScheduleNov. 7 – at UMassNov. 11 – at ColumbiaNov. 15 – at Seton HallNov. 19 – at QuinnipiacNov. 21 – vs. Army*Nov. 26 – at SienaNov. 29 – vs. BostonDec. 2 – vs. DartmouthDec. 5 – vs. TBDDec. 10 – vs. Temple*Dec. 16 – at DrexelDec. 19 – vs. Sacred HeartDec. 22 – at South FloridaDec. 30 – at LIUJan. 1 – at Harvard
  12. I saw only the top 7 qualified for the MAAC Championships. Those ships were at Saratoga Springs this past Spring. Just wonder how the two FL schools and Drake get their boats to the Northeast. Those 8's are looong boats, they fit on a plane or a bus??? Lol.
  13. I got my list from the MAAC website showing the 2022-23 season so looks like 11 teams right now, up from 9. They added LIU and Iona last year.
  14. Here is the list of MAAC teams this past season: Fairfield, Iona, Marist, Jacksonville, Drake, Stetson, LIU, Manhatten, Canisius, Robert Morris, Sacred Heart. So two in FL and one in Iowa 😲. Jacksonville University, my daughters alma mater, is the cream of the crop, won last 2 MAAC titles and did well in NCAAs. Seen the facilities on the St John's River, can see why they are big time.
  15. The Gazette says he has chosen to play professionally in his native Italy.
  16. Solid 1st half by the ladies, tied at 4. Undefeated Denver has #1 defense in country. Keep feeding Falk and they can shock the world.
  17. Once again this proves how much more competitive the ladies athletic teams at UA are. Why can't Benson get these results with the men's teams too???
  18. Your welcome gents. Instead of watching the game and have them lose as they do when I watch, I played golf. One more win and we are tourney bound. Didn't see that as a possibility.
  19. Yeah, he can't hit the broad side of a barn: 34% FG, 25% from 3, 64.8% from the line. If we had a bunch of guys who can fill the hoop, then this guys shooting woes can be lived with. But we don't have great shooters as yet. Maybe he and Amica will split time at PG. If Amica can get and stay healthy.
