  1. One thing he mentioned is that they are going to play fast and vaguely recall an offense first team, but may be remembering wrong. I almost feel like he's getting guys in a situation where anyone can bring the ball up and go from there. Rather than always get it back to the point guard and run the play.
  2. Maybe that's his recruiting pitch. "Give me a year and see what we can do together"
  3. Official announcement. Sounds like he's awesome from head to toe..including his hair...but is anyone worried about the first line? "for the 2021-2022 season". That's odd language for me. ALBANY, N.Y. – Justin Neely, a 6-5 wing from West Oaks Academy in Miami, Fla., has signed a national letter of intent to join the UAlbany men's basketball team under new head coach Dwayne Killings for the 2021-22 season. "We are ecstatic about welcoming Justin into our program and into our family," said Killings. "When we identify talent, we are looking for versatile, hard-working, and committed young men to help change the mentality of our program. Justin is all that and more. He has excelled in the classroom and those same habits have given him immense success on the court. Justin is a winner and we can't wait for our fan base to welcome Justin and his family to the Capital Region." "I am excited to join the UAlbany family," said Neely. "This is a wonderful opportunity for me to not only receive a great education but work with a great coaching staff and with players who share the same goals. It is even more special because this is Coach Killings' first season, and I will get to be a part of the foundation of excellence and championship tradition that he is building at UAlbany. I am blessed to have this opportunity and am looking forward to meeting everyone." Neely averaged 9.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in three games for West Oaks during the COVID-19-affected 2020-21 season. As a junior, Neely averaged 27.2 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 6.4 assists in 24 appearances. In his career, Neely has shown the ability to hit shots from multiple spots on the floor, as well as the ability to guard four positions. He plans to pursue a degree in Business and holds a 4.0 GPA, and was the first student-athlete at his high school to be named valedictorian.
  4. Great tape. Csn anyone think of another commit with this level of interest?
  5. This is a huge wow. Check out the other offers. Even the Brown loyalists have to be floored by this.
  6. Big time offer here. Note another Philly connection. I'll say one thing, DK ain't shy about reaching for the stars. https://www.verbalcommits.com/players/jameel-brown
  7. Considering we all thought DK was gonna get some stems and seeds and one year wonder grad transfers so far it’s an impressive haul. He’s casting a very wide net for sure
  8. Welp, here's a list of schools you don't see us competing with every day. PG from Detroit https://www.verbalcommits.com/players/malik-olafioye
  9. 7.5 pts and 5 rbs a game. Respectable, and shows that guys from bigger programs are giving us a sniff...and damn if they ain't working that Philly connections. Philly connection = Australia connection?
  10. Saint Thomas just committed to Loyola Chicago, which makes sense if you think about it.
  11. Just logged in. Pretty cool. I realize they aren’t perfect but at least they are trying. Sometimes I think some of you would win a million dollars and then complain that you had to go to the bank.
  12. Looks like the philly connection is strong https://www.verbalcommits.com/players/ny-mire-little According to verbal commits, he's a 6' 4", 0 lbs shooting guard. I hope he hits the buffet a little harder.
  13. So since we have Paul Newman committed, are we hoping he's more of a hot hand than a cool hand? I'll show myself out...
  14. Our first new recruit https://www.verbalcommits.com/players/matt-cerruti
  15. Classy way to go out here. https://twitter.com/Tehoka1/status/1377330777034272773/photo/1
  16. At my TV network, I've seen three different movie rough cuts where they mention Albany and each time it was mispronounced. I made them ADR (automated dialoguer replacement: when you fix a character's dialogue in post) each time.
  17. Tehoka suspended one game along with Gash and Ramirez Michael Kelly @ByMichaelKelly America East announced 8 suspensions today "following an altercation that occurred during the March 20, 2021 conference men’s lacrosse game between the University at Albany and Binghamton University." Suspended players for UAlbany: Elijah Gash, Tehoka Nanticoke and Steve Ramirez

  19. DK is right. A rising tide lifts all and friendly competition would raise the profile of both schools. Look up the history of MGM studios about how they developed an industry through cooperative competition. Few people get rich based on principles alone. That being said there needs to be equity in the final decision.
