The Merrimack MLAX coach resigned effective immediately after yesterday's game and he will not coach on Thursday evening.  Media reports linked his departure to the incident during the UAlbany-Merrimack MLAX game.

His program is notorious for this type of bull$iena.  I live not to far from Andover and his demeanor, which goes down to the team, is beyond bro like.  Glad he got the hook.

The need to play well, on Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon, by the Great Danes cannot be understated... UAlbany was projected by Inside Lacrosse for the play-in game with the MAAC Tournament winner.  If we play well, the Great Danes may avoid the play-in game.  Their reward: a trip to the JMA Wireless Dome and the Syracuse Orange.

I have to say that what impresses me most is the fact that it’s Frosh and Soph players that carried the team offensively. If they can keep them all, this crew could be a runaway locomotive in a year or too. And a freshman goalie on top of that.

The emergence of Palumb and kesselring as a solid 2nd string has been a great addition to the offense the past few weeks.

The top-seeded Great Danes were dominant in an 18-7 win over Merrimack on Thursday in the America East Semifinals. They play Vermont in the championship Saturday for a shot at the league’s AQ. Gametime is set for 3 p.m.
