Screw next time...I'll be right back...

Yeah but you put it in a thread where the story is actually pertinent. I'd been thinking about a direct response to new poster SaltySeawolf :"I've been on the boards three days and can see that Albany fans are bitter and jealous that not only are they a second rate university compared to Stony Brook but are having a hard time dealing with the fact that the Seawolves have completely surpassed them on the basketball court. SB has three top notch commits for next year. Albany has one. The BU and UVM fans are confident and comfortable with their programs which they should be, so they don't generally feel the need to lash out as much. They don't suffer the deep embarrassing inferiority complex so prevalent in the Albany posters. Albany has not only slid back to a middle of the road AE team, but they are also a distant second in their own city in regards to basketball."

It's separated and, technically off campus, to enable the public private partnerships, which cannot be done under the current SUNY regs. That was one of the things that the university wanted in the SUNY2020 legislation. I don't think that was in the final bill. That's why the Fuller Road Mgt. Corp. entity was created.

Yeah, that comment in particular completely missed the mark...EDIT: I think it's important that we get out there and rep the University.

NanoCollege wants to pull into station - CNSE wants to partner with Capitalize Albany to buy the former Union Station/Kiernan Plaza to use as incubator space for new businesses.

Vaulting across 'valley of death' - CNSE hosts a two-day conference with the National Science Foundation about making the leap from basic research to manufacturing.

Included in this years budget..."$250 million for an expansion at the University at Albany's NanoCollege"

Read more: http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/Budget-1-2B-for-building-projects-3439444.php#ixzz1qQSNGOsu

Gadzooks! That is some serious coin; I would love to see how it gets expended.

I am pro-UA, but that is almost three times what they are spending on parks improvements for the entire state...with that type of money I would like to know much more about the long-term projections on the business model.

I'd love to see it as well...what is the plan. They are building like crazy and investing Billions...with a B (I believe)...

For anyone planning to visit the campus via Fuller Road, construction began today on a roundabout and flyover bridge at the Fuller/Washington Ave. intersection, redirecting Washington behind the latest Nanotech building. Current roads will remain open. Both the roadwork and the building should be completed this November.

Technically, Nano is off campus.

Understood but people visiting won't know where the campus ends...the proximity helps in blurring that line...all of it adds to the WOW factor. Not only is Nano impressive but new Business School, new stadium, new rec field/track, new dorms, hopefully soon an expansion and renovation of the campus center etc.
