If you sit on the left side, the third base un-dugout blocks the view of the left field corner. Sightline is better down the first base line.

Meanwhile, sod is being laid today on the practice fields

Compared to SBU and Bing, our field is atrocious!

True....but hopefully, Stony Brooks success will reasonate into the Albany program and will encourage administration to take the necessary actions to raise the bar for the baseball team. Improved visibility will result in an improved crop of potential recruits. The baseball program did some things for the first time such as broadcasting live game stats on the internet. This is a major step forward!

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and ask: why not use Joe Bruno stadium?

It's Hudson Valley CC's home field.

Probably too many conflicts to use it full time, but this would be a natural place to play a game each season vs. LCC baseball. There are many instances where "local rivals" play a game at a minor league stadium or even Major league stadium if the schools are big enough. Marist playing Army each year at the Hudson Valley Renegades stadium is the closest example that comes to mind.

At much as I like to make fun of them for this amoung other things, it is somewhat unfortunate that they are afraid to play us for whatever imagined slight of decades ago.

One of those schools' baseball field was paid for by an MLBer alum with $50m+ in career earnings and will likely end his career in the top 20 of the all-time saves list..while the other school doesn't have a football team to invest in facilities for.
