Clickclack
How sad. Perhaps the ugly duckling will one day be a beautiful swan. How so? We continue to build a solid all around program...facilities are getting built, level of football has gone way up...all of this takes time. I'm happy with our trajectory... UAalum72
Coach was on Rodger's show today from the Golf Outing. Said he and most coaches from other sports are just as happy staying in America East. Haas will not only be the 3-pointer replacement for Iati, as of now he's the starting PG from Day 1. Thinks from top to bottom we have more talent than last year, just have to get them to gel.
Dane Pound
Thinks from top to bottom we have more talent than last year, just have to get them to gel. On paper it certainly looks that way. They'll be hard pressed to match the savvy and onions of last year's team thought. Interesting statement about Haas consider all the options at PG. He was leading the country in assists for a while last year at Juco. Didn't realize Maine was so interested in him until reading the OBW story. Def should be better talent wise. Going to be all about cohesion. As far as the CAA, of course most coaches are happy. The America East is a level down in competition and if they are moving up they'd want raises. Moving up requires more work and if your not going to be compensated why would you want to make the move. All these coaches have all their scouting reports ready on all these other AE teams. A new league means more work! I'm willing to bet Will Brown did not want to make the move and I don't blame him. Another possible trip to the tourney = $$$$$$$. His best chance would be where he's at. If we made the jump to the CAA I think we'd see a .500 record if were lucky. So .500 record or a chance for back to back tourney appearances is easy for him to decide what conference you'd rather be in.
