CAA Week 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

What a difference a year makes........last year our league was looking at hopefully win a few games against the CAA in week 1. Now we're look at our league potentially knocking off multiple big boys.

Thursday, August 29

Rhode Island @ Fordham - 7 PM

#11 Towson @ UConn - 7:30 PM - ESPN3

Jacksonville @ Delaware - 7:30 PM - Hens All-Access

Saturday, August 31

William & Mary @ West Virginia - 12 PM - Fox Sports 1

#5 Villanova @ Boston College - 12 PM - ESPNews

Albany @ Duquesne - 12:10 PM

Central Connecticut State @ #19 James Madison - 6 PM - Madizone

VMI @ #15 Richmond - 6 PM - Spider TV

Maine @ Norfolk State - 6 PM - NSU Showcase

A bunch of National TV/Streaming games as well.

Towson, William & Mary and Villanova all have very legitimate shots at W's.

Delaware, James Madison and Richmond should walk over their opponents.

I'm surprised that the game is not listed on Duquesne's all access streaming site. Will the game not be on there?

Their football schedule lists only radio and gametracker for all their home games unless they haven't updated the all-access yet.

From the depth chart on the running backs it looks like we are going to have a smaller backfield than usual. We generally have some bigger, run through a guy or two, backs. I'm wondering if with the switch to turf and the CAA we're going to smaller, quicker backs or if it's just a coincidence.

I think it's the effect of switching to a spread over the last 5 years. Big backs won't come to a spread. And there are very few good big backs that are of the quality that we need. That's why we switched to the spread in the first place. Drew Smith is a rarity.
