Finally...

The Sarge started at Albany in the Fall of 1984, thirty years later I have finally finished the requirements for my bachelors degree. I had the opportunity to finish my last 3 credits in a Sociology research seminar with DJ Evans, Gary Johnson and a few other athletes from varsity squads. My years at Albany have helped me to navigate a 25+ year career in law enforcement. Way back when, I was a student assistant coach with the volleyball team (only the head coach was paid). It has been a long rewarding trip. I would like to thank everyone who supports the University and its teams. I would like to give a special tribute to Dave (Brink) Brinkerhoff who I spent many summer classes and good times with (www.brink5K.com). He was taken from us way to early giving his life in the line of duty. I have always been and will always be proud to be a Great Dane.

Congratulations... I myself have been at it for years trying to squeeze in classes between a full time career, kids, new house etc. I know the work you put in as I'm still on my way... I have another 16 credits but it seems like it will NEVER END.

Congrats Sarge! A buddy of mine from Albany just got his degree last year after 20+ years of letting it hang out there unfinished by 6 credits. I give you guys a lot of credit because it would be very easy to just let it go.
