This makes me feel like the arena is NOT on track. Which means I won't be buying my plane ticket anytime soon. Even though I can't stand what's happened to the program and can't stand the people leading the department, I was willing to throw a few shekels that way just to witness the historic moment of the new arena but now I'm not so sure. Last minute flights are more $$$ and I'm not sure UA warrants that.

The crosstown rivals have mutually agreed to flip venues for the final two matchups of the three-year men's basketball agreement, with Siena now set to host a true home game vs. UAlbany for this coming season's installment on Sunday, Nov. 26, at MVP Arena.
The three-year agreement – which tipped off with a neutral site matchup at MVP Arena last November – initially featured the series continuing with a UAlbany home game during the 2023-24 season, followed by a true Siena home game at MVP Arena in 2024-25. However, out of an abundance of caution due to the arena renovation on UAlbany's campus, the programs agreed to exchange home games for the next two seasons. The renovation is still scheduled for completion by mid-November of 2023. -

This. I can't buy tickets until I know they are 100% confirmed to open when they say they are.
That being said, I'm surprised they didn't remove the floor with all of that working going on. Never mind construction lifts, etc. even boots can damage that floor. I figured that'd be the last thing they do with clean hands and sneakers lol.

I don't think we'll have better days until the school administration cleans house in the athletic administration. They've had years to prove they are up to the task and have failed miserably. They didn't capitalize on LAX success or MBB success in the least.

Is Si Mayben Tiki Mayben's brother? I see he's from Troy. Doesn't seem to have the same unibrow that Tiki had, but it's pretty close. Tiki was Anthony Davis before Anthon Davis.

Yep. School completely blew it after the MBB/WBB championship years (didn't give Brown the tools he needed to continue) and the #1 LAX years (don't really follow LAX so not sure why that happened). Instead, they renewed an FBB coach that is a total loser on and off the field (total prick if you ask me) like 3 times, yadda yadda yadda.
One day we'll fire Benson, Cegles, Gattuso, Killings, etc. and start a new...that's when I'll be back to talking about UA publicly in a positive light and giving them money on a yearly basis. Until then, I won't give them a dime outside of coming for the arena home opener (50/50 chance), I'll continue to trash members of the leadership team (aforementioned) on social media and anytime the school calls me begging for donations I'll tell them to fire those clowns otherwise to stop calling. Don't care if they are an innocent student calling or someone from the AD. You want my money? Make changes. Starting at the top.
New arena and newer stadium is just lipstick on the pig.
