BU announcers just compared Rowley to Mark Nkwamma of Hartford.
-
We've been terrible in the open court. Three run outs we should have had lay-ups and we've either missed them or found a way to turn the ball over.
-
Funny that Rowley wasn't a starter at the beginning of the year and now we aren't the same team when he's off the floor. He had 10 pts and 4 assists.

(re-begin hair splitting) WE BEAT BU IN THEIR FREAKING BUILDING AND THEY ARE RANKED HIGHER THAN US (re-end hair splitting) BU is also higher in the RPI. I was wondering about tomorrow nights game against. If we lost and both teams won out the rest of their schedule it would come down to RPI to determine the conference championship if I remember the tie breakers right. Much easier to just win tomorrow night!

Women are up to #12 in the mid major poll - http://www.collegeinsider.com/womens-mid-major-top-25.php (begin hair splitting) Quinnipiac is higher in the poll and lost to Hartford, a team UA has beaten twice. (end hair splitting) RPI is up to 89. On ESPN on Sunday they were talking about projecting to a #12 seed in the tournament.

I guess we will be getting a lineup change but not the way we wanted it. No mention yet of who will start against BU.

2013 Men's Lacrosse

You're right. I think Hopkins was #1 at the time. I think because this is Syracuse and there has been so many years of near misses this seems jpretty close. -

I thought we were done in that first OT. I don't think we ever had possession. Amazing stand and way to fight back. -

Yes! Double OT win!!!!!! -
Women are up 8 at the half after a crazy Sarah Royals three at the buzzer. Pretty sure everyone including the bus driver picked up two fouls in the first half. Game is on ESPN 3.

I imagine we're going to see more of that lineup against BU with Hooley out. I think Watson and DJ Evans will be a fun matchup. DJ seemed to have more of a greenlight last night and looked a lot more confident. -
Great to see a former Dane help in taking down Duke last night. Maryland won by two.

I don't know that I've praised John Puk's defense that often but I thought he did a nice job on Nwakamma tonight. I also liked moving Guerrier down a spot for some minutes at the PF. He had good numbers and I thought he played better than his stats tonight. Sounds like Hooley will be out for the BU game and possibly longer. That was a scary shot to the head. Hopefully there's nothing long term. Concussions are scary business. -

Not guilty. As usual, I only yelled at the officials. -

Rumor- UMASS-LOWELL to the AE; Today or Tomorrow
Dane Pound replied to Dane96's topic in General Danes Stuff
Clearly the AE added UMass-Lowell so they wouldn't have to move the league headquarters out of Boston... -

Maine has to be the nuttiest team in the NCAA. They beat us, Vermont and Hartford between losing to UMBC (road) and UNH and Bing at home. They've lost to the last place team in the Ivy and beat the #1 team in the CAA. -

Me too. Can't believe it's almost tourney time! -
A couple sites list us as look at Michigan transfer Sai Tummala.

I was puzzled about how little time Evans got as well. He's played pretty well in a couple of games this year and then the following game got very little time. Admittedly I follow his playing time because I like him as a player and think he can do some good things for us. I don't think we need to shake up the lineup but maybe include more Evans and GJ. To me, Iati and Mike Black play well together, the same goes for the "ley" brothers. I'd like to see Evans and GJ on the court at the same time because I think they play well together. Guerrier is taking time away from both players. It's going to sound stupid but I liked Guerrier as an undersized power forward more than I do as a small forward. I'd almost like to see him get a few minutes at that spot to maybe drag a big guy out on the perimeter and create more space underneath. I thought he did a good job of that last year.

That's awesome. This team has been getting some great recognition lately. Locally and now nationally. Here's the full list - http://hosted.stats.com/wcbk/tpi.asp I didn't realize we were #2 in team defense...in the country.

UAlbany vs. Maine (2/9/2013)

I'm late to this but that awful, freakin loss to Maine is actually a highlight compared to the direction of this thread. An anonymous message board poster is questioning the identity of another message board poster. Seriously? Were not pitting the women's program against the men's program? Great work, mission accomplished. -

Sounds like the game is still going to go on. Funny that they moved the Hartford game to Sunday but everyone else is playing today. I guess maybe it's worse in Hartford. -

A week between the Maine game and Hartford should hopefully help everyone get healthy. I liked DJ Evans and Gary Johnson with some extended minutes tonight.
