  1. Anyone know if this will be streamed? Will 2023 roster be posted soon [aka before this event]? Anyone going? I'd love a report--THANKS.
  2. Disagree. Appeared to me and to replay officials. Ball/Player swiped across out of bounds line before crossing goal line/pylon.
  3. "You guys are exactly 1 year behind this issue. The PRIORITY & GDAC status report has not worked since the advent of mobil ticketing. I talked to Justin Brown about this last summer (2021) and he was very frustrated that it was not working and did not know when it would be fixed. He assured me Nate Mason had all the "data" on a "spreadsheet" or something; and would handle priority parking etc. manually. I talked with Nate and he assured me, my parking pass would eventually show up on my Mobil Ticket App. Which it did. Renewed football about 3 weeks ago but have not checked parking yet for 2022. As for checking your GDAC priority status, points, parking, etc.; the online report has never been updated/fixed?? as far as I know. Call or email Nate probably all we can do, especially now that Justin is gone. Doubt the new guy even knows about the program??" This is a copy of a post I made on August 23,2022. I have not seen anything to contradict what I posted here. In short NO ONE is posting PRIORITY STATUS. "Supposedly" Nate Mason has a "manual" list somewhere; you can try calling or emailing him to find out your current rank??? I will tell you this, before Justin Brown left, I was in the top 100 {actually 50-70 range I recall} and yet I never got a "password to purchase email." Just got a regular invite to purchase email? For football I did get my usual SEFCU parking pass, so someone, somehow, some-of-the time seems to be monitoring PRIORITY??
  4. My order email (no code needed) arrived last night [10/5].
  5. Did NOT receive my second email with pass code to buy. Not reaching out to anyone: think $40 outrageous, and corner or end seats @ MVP not worth it at any price [view is horrible.] Been to the knick/pepsi/tu/mvp for pretty much every type of sporting event and other entertainment; and IMHO who ever designed that place should be hung from the rafters.
  6. I watched the game on espn+ and a more appropriate headline should be UA Gives Away Volleyball Game to NH. Attack Errors UA 36 to NH 16; Serve Errors UA 11 to NH 8. UA made 23 more errors than NH, in the 3 sets UA lost {gave away} by 6, 2, 5. Cut the error discrepancy in half and UA easily wins. The ugly truth was/is IMHO, UA simply LOOKED awful yesterday. Having seen them life 3 times & streamed several, UA so far seems to have a lot of talent but has been vey inconsistent and truthfully seem lost, un-focused and even bewildered @ times??? Year-in and Year out, UA plays probably the most difficult OOC preseason tournament schedule than any mid major in the country. Not sure this serves [no pun intended] them well. They played in 4 tournaments and all 12 opponents were or are perennial powers and the majority were from major conferences . It's like playing Baylor in football, without the money angle; do you really gain anything/much by getting beat-up constantly?? Would love to hear opinions/thoughts from other Volleyball enthusiast.
  7. Just curious what the sentiment is on this blog about continuing to boycott the Albany Cup? Is the 3 year contract one game @ lcc, one @ UA, and one @ "NEUTRAL" site; enough to start supporting the Cup again, especially since is the neutral site really neutral??????? Not advocating anything either way; everyone has to do their own thing without bias. Just curious opinions & thoughts of anyone who care to reply??
  8. Excellent question? HVCC has an excellent IT program; but it is housed in Malta I believe. As far as handling the tech & hook-ups, I am sure it would not be a problem. As far as having the equipment {& I have no idea what that is??}; it would seem to me UA could/would, bring what's in SEFCU. Guess it must be just laying around somewhere during construction??
  9. The whole process needs to be fixed/corrected. Found out the hard way and by repeated calls to Nate Mason, last year on the Mac platform you could not add, display, or transfer tickets. You could buy tickets and print them after re-formatting then to PDF's, but not much else. Had to do pretty much everything on my iPhone. I have arthritis issues and have trouble typing on small keyboards. Could not even use an iPad. Have not checked this year, but pretty much given up the fight and in-spite of my issues just use the phone. But your post is interesting, because last year while I was trying to get the program to work on my Mac and or iPad, Nate recommended I try using Google Pay. I did not try Google Pay, but interesting that you say it has/had desktop platform issues too. ps My wife and I love life theater and often use our computers to buy tickets from many different events locally, Broadway & off; then use our Apple wallets on our iPhones to gain admission. Never have had a single issue, other than UA Ticket Return {& what a stupid name--want to buy & use tickets, not return them for the most part🤪.}
  10. So what if anything makes the "https://wibx950.com/albany-plummets-in-national-university-rankings/ study anymore relevant/important than the Washington study where ONLY UA out of SUNY was rated in the top 100??????? ps GET NANO back and IMHO UA will rise again to or near the top of SUNY "rankings". & what the heck is the hold-up and why aren't local representatives holding Holcol to her word about re-uniting NANO to UA????????????????
  11. Gattuso said yesterday was a turning point game. Don't win next week vs 0-3 old NorthEast Conference foe, might be the straw that breaks the camels back. I doubt UA could lose this one; but if it actually meant the end of Gattuso, I would route for CCSU for all I'm worth {even though it breaks my heart for the kids.} Plus a loss to CCSU would probably lead to an extension, rather than a dismissal. ps. the last time UA fielded a quality team 2019: NOV 30 (SAT) 1:00 PM VS CENTRAL CONNECTICUT ALBANY, N.Y. W, 42-14
  12. Anyone have any more information on UA's FALL BALL events/schedule?? From Inside Lacrosse here is the schedule for the above mentioned fall ball event: Oct. 15-16 Canada vs. Everybody in Oshawa, Ont. Canada Red vs. Denver, 9 a.m. Saturday Canada White vs. Saint Joseph’s, 11 a.m. Saturday Saint Joseph’s vs. Denver, 6 p.m. Saturday Canada Red vs. Canada White, 8 p.m. Saturday Canada White vs. UAlbany, 9 a.m. Sunday Canada Red vs. St. Bonaventure, 11 a.m. Sunday UAlbany vs. St. Bonaventure, 1 p.m. Sunday Canada Red vs. Canada White, 3 p.m. Sunday Ticketing info also available on inside lax. No other events listed for UA. Not even an alumni game? If anyone knows differently, please correct. UA usually participates in 2 or 3 fall ball activities. May be saving them for Spring Pre-Season???????
  13. Inside Lacrosse updated 2024 commitment list today. Do they mean 2023-2024 college season, when they put these listing out. When they show their high school ratings and their tournaments and camps etc., I never can figure out WHEN these high schoolers are College eligible? Can anyone familiar with Inside Lacrosse and their reporting explain????? Also, in their latest 2024?? commitment report published today; UA does not have a single commit listed. Has UA given up recruiting; or as queried above is 2024 listing really about 2025 playing year?? If so what happened to 2023-2024 college school year recruits. I am so confused HELP! by going to Inside Lacrosse "recruit page"; I guess it means a 2024 recruit enters college as a freshman in fall 2024 and plays his first college lacrosse season SPRING 2025. Confirm or correct me if you know the actual.
  14. From Insider UA Loyalty Society news letter: UAlbany Ranks in Top 100 Universities Nationally by Washington Monthly Listed as #63 in the nation, the University is the highest ranked SUNY school, according to the publication, which rates institutions "based on their contribution to the public good in three broad categories: social mobility, research and promoting public service." Not sure if this is a new study; but seems to contradict other university rankings that I've seen posted on this board?? Anyhow, I VERY MUCH LIKE THIS ONE.🤩
  15. And while/if someone corrects this guy; have him TURN THE VOLUME DOWN A NOTCH or two. Felt like I was being screamed AT the entire game. Kept wondering what I did wrong; why was this guy yelling at me constantly! For showing up perhaps???
  16. also posted in sefcu reno Not sure where to post this; but does anyone know where Volleyball will be playing the HOME games during the Sefcu/Broadview/UAGym Reno?? They have two OOC home games in september [13,25] plus one 10/18; and begin home conference 9/30

  18. from inside Lacrosse: 15 unheralded players that stood out in the world tournament: Jake Piseno | D | Haudenosaunee | UAlbany Jack VanValkenburgh | G | Haudenosaunee | UAlbany Piseno is one of the better known quantities on this list. He was a second-team All-America East LSM for the Great Danes last year. His leadership and aggressiveness, playing with an inexperienced defensive group was noteworthy; he didn’t break down despite leading the way the entire tournament. VanValkenburgh was a revelation. He started for the Danes vs. UMass Lowell and appeared in six games, but saw a ton of rubber in Ireland. His 77 saves were tied for second-most in the tournament, and he was up against Pool A competition. ps IMHO for what it's worth: for the most part I thought both Jack Van and Tommy Heller played better than seniors Ramos & Cassidy last year. Not that any of them really stood out?
  19. I could be wrong; but I believe Turnbull is a Benson guy? Justin Brown I believe worked directly for UA Foundation while being responsible for Athletics? I could be totally wrong on these assumptions; I do not know Turnbull at all; but always felt from my dealings with Justin that he was independent of Athletic department control. Even if I am wrong, I know for a fact he often butt heads with Benson and called him out on many occasions about policies contrary to building fan and donor support.
  20. Welcome back Brutus. Don’t think we’ve heard from you since the last major construction? Happy to have your input and expertise! Any news on “tent/field house”?

  22. THANKS for the update. Blog interest lately seems to be at an all time low {especially Lax.}; so I really appreciate your posts! Must be hard for Scott to make cuts. Seemed to ME in the past, he just kept everyone on the roster who wanted to be there and worked hard in practice. Anyhow, the numbers must be good or cuts would not be on the table? Unless the cut backs are for financial/administrative reasons, in which case I'd be most disappointed.
