The real questions would be, will we be able to get one or both of those teams to play at the TUC? They are listed as "away" above, but the games at TUC would be considered away wouldn't they? Or would they show neutral?

My 8 year old woke me up at about 6:00am this morning to tell me that the game was rigged. How can an 8 year old see plays better than the refs. I try my hardest not to complain about the officiating as it is what it is and teams need to figure out how to play within what the refs are calling - but seriously, last night was the worst I have ever seen at any level. There are playground games that have better officiating. At one point in the second half the foul disparity with 10 to 4 or something like that. A St. Peters guy took 6 steps on play and when the whistle went off, I yelled that they finally made a call - and it turned out to be a foul and not a travel? 7 F'ing steps before any type of contact. If the game meant anything, and wasn't the CIT, I would put in a formal complaint to the NCAA. UA Played 5 on 8 last night and still kept the game close. Terrible way to end an overall great rebuilding season. I'm sad no more ball to root for after this weekend (assuming the ladies lose to UConn). Time to start stalking the recruiting thread and listening to rumors on who is staying and who is leaving (someone has to be leaving with 2 graduations and 3 signed recruits and more offers still out there). Next year it will be a rematch of VT vs. UA only this time it will be at SEFCU. I am calling it now.

Yes, you have to listen to that money, but unless he was unhappy it would be a bad move. With the team he has returning he could leave in 2 years for a better opportunity in a better conference. He has a MUCH better resume than Pikell had and could get McCaffery type money after this group graduates.

Yup, it's a down year for the team, but seriously? A win against Florida last year, 6th straight trip, and rewarded by the honor of playing UCONN during the first round? Well, at this way they have a chance to make history. Let's get a win and end the Huskies streak.

Watched the presser that was posted. Shame on the media for asking David about doing too much more than once. Kid is 19. I have made comments on him having poor shot selection all year, but there wasn't that many possessions yesterday that I felt that way. Many of the forced shots were late in the clock or VT had done a great job of locking down all of the passing lanes. A couple of those shots fall and he is the hero. I can't wait to see what he does next year. And Cremo, wow. Love his attitude, but I found myself feeling sorry for his teammates with the way he spoke about working hard over the summer. I hope they are ready to battle. Tongue in cheek comment, but if the team buys into the captains work ethic, watch out AE next season.

The only downside to the play in game is you will play against the overall #1 or #2 in round 2. A good chance to get a win might be worth it over getting a 15 or 16 seed off the rip. If I understand the finance aspect of the tournament, doesn't the conference get money for each round a team appears in? If that's the case, a win in a PIG plus a loss in round 2 is just as good for the conference as a 13 seed upsetting a 4 and losing in the round of 32?

I stopped at SEFCU yesterday for other reasons and I asked about ticket sales. They mentioned that they have had pretty heavy call volume but are hoping for a good walkup sales. I am pretty far removed from the student body, but I hope they turn out. My wife made fun of me this morning saying that I care more about the team than the students do. That is kind of sad really.
