  1. Not only that, I also learned all the cheers. Lol
  2. I'm not a coach, but I did stay at a holiday in express last night... Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought the key to beating the 131 was quick crisp skip passes. Corner to opposite wing and back. Quick ball movement and keeping the zone moving and shifting. It's gotta be like hot potato fast. It seemed to me that every time the ball made it to the corner they hesitated and were to slow and end up being double teamed and trapped. They did lots of cross court skip passes, but they were slow, telegraphed lobs. The more you get the zone to shift and move, the better chance of an open cut to the rim or a clean 3 from the corner. Do I remember correctly from my high school varsity bench warmer days?
  3. I won't give up hope after one terrible game. I know LCC isn't SMU, but I thought I saw the team come together in that game. It gave me confidence for moving forward. Hopefully last night was just the hangover. SMU is the only game coming up that we are heavy underdogs in. Every other game is winnable.
  4. If they did it would count in attendance wouldn't it? The crowd was pitiful, the game was pitiful. Maybe our guys need the energy. Last time SEFCU felt that dead UA lost to Hartford
  5. Something tells me this team is gonna see a lot of 1-3-1 the rest of the season. They just can't touch it.
  6. Win lose or draw... Worst. Game. Ever. Boring.
  7. Well now that the game against that piece of $iena team from across town is over, it's time to move on to the next game. I am thinking the team can go 7-2 or 6-3 in the rest of the OOC schedule. The only team left that we should lose to is SMU. A couple of the other games are tough, but 8-1 isn't out of the question.
  8. If you read their board, one of the posts (Papi) talked about them losing because it is hard to win on the road. Kind of funny that the same thread is pushing for the game being at TU every year for the fans and saying that since the game is in the city of Albany it's still kind of a home game for UA. Wasn't this still kind of a home game for LCC?
  9. IS the series not coming back to sefcu just code for someone else will win the naming rights when it comes up for bid? Let's hope the series ends if it doesn't stay home and home.
  10. LCC gets its suspended players back. UA loses some important pieces to injuries. I am hoping for the best (104-12 in favor of UA) but the realistic side of me sees a $iena win by 11. Hopefully I am wrong.
  11. 850 is the UA student section and 100/700 are the back corners on the UA side. Not surprised that if there were any seats left they would be in those sections. The rest of the seats are gone except one offs.
  12. The biggest problem I have with buying seats now is that it is so hard to buy multiples next to each other. Who wants to sit across the arena from the people you are going with? I'm good with my season tickets, and I'm looking forward to hearing llko sitting 2 rows in front of me screaming (he is loud when you are close) but I have friends that are casual fans that don't feel like sitting alone.
  13. We are definitely being over critical, but the mistakes haven't been because the team was outmatched. They have the talent. The problem seems to be failure to protect the ball and bad decisions. When you watch them dominate for periods then throw the ball away and miss free throws, it gets frustrating. Maybe this will end up like the 13-14 team. That team took a while to gel. They lost some fairly easy games in the OOC that year, then proceeded to go 15-1 in the AE.
  14. What's with all the MAAC commercials? It's annoying enough seeing the team play poorly.
  15. ? I watched the Penn State game and last nights game on ESPN3. Not sure what you are referencing?
  16. THIS! The AD is doing what it can to bring more people to the game. In the basketball forum there has been an annual thread called butts in the seats. I know the capital district is full of sports snobs that will only attend major programs and the biggest events - but if we all want the program to continue to grow - it is up to the people who are already addicted fans to bring outsiders in.
  17. Feels like the Hartford game last year. Raining 3's with no one there to watch
  18. FYI: I asked the staff about it at halftime. Apparently they had to integrate new software from ESPN and something wasn't working, so they made the decision to just scroll the logos of sponsors. From my understanding, they will have it working to show stats, graphics, and other new stuff by the Siena game. I'm not holding my breath.
  19. Painful half to watch from a basketball perspective, but I'll take down 2. That Cincinnati defense is crazy good, regardless of how many fouls. Watching VT and NH, this is gonna be a good season in the AE.
  20. LOL... saw this on the Cincinnati page. I love early season RPI rankings. Tonight's game features #1 vs. #2 on the ESPN RPI rankings. Has Albany ever been #1 before lol... http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/rpi/_/sort/RPI
